Kid Rock’s “Rock The Country” festival has canceled its upcoming tour dates in South Carolina. This comes after multiple artists pulled out of the event.

Kid Rock’s Festival Canceled

The festival had been scheduled to take place in Anderson, South Carolina, on July 25 and July 26. It was reportedly canceled due to “unforeseen circumstances.”

“Anderson County has been proud to host Rock the Country for the past two years,” Anderson County administrator Rusty Burns told Fox Carolina. “The event was a huge success drawing tens of thousands of visitors, making a multimillion-dollar economic impact on the Upstate.”

“An event of this caliber proved what a great venue and exceptional hospitality we have here in Anderson County. Of course, we are disappointed that Rock the Country will not return to Anderson this year,” Burns continued. “We are already planning additional major events and look forward to exciting announcements to come. Anderson County is committed to bringing high quality arts and entertainment to our community.”

Rock The Country Sounds Off

The Rock the Country festival later doubled down on this in a statement of their own. Indeed, the festival told People Magazine that the event was “created to unite people together through music. Our lineups and our crowds reflect that sentiment — a wide range of voices, backgrounds, and stories that make up this country.”

“We’re truly disappointed we won’t be bringing the show to Anderson. Our fans work hard for their money, and we refuse to put on a show that doesn’t meet the standard they deserve,” the festival added.

“Our focus remains where it’s always been: Supporting our artists, honoring our fans, and delivering unforgettable nights throughout the country,” the statement concluded. “The shows ahead represent the heart of what Rock the Country stands for: music, community, and pride in where we come from. Loving America isn’t political; it’s who we are.”

Shinedown Drops Out

Meanwhile, this comes days after the rock band Shinedown announced that it would no longer be taking part in the Rock the Country festival. The band issued a brief statement revealing this on Friday.

“Shinedown is everyone’s band. We feel that we have been given a platform to bring all people together through the power of music and song,” the band said. “We have one boss, and it is everyone in the audience. Our band’s purpose is to unite, not divide. With that in mind, we have made the decision that we will not be playing the Rock the Country festival.”

“We know this decision will create differences of opinion. But we do not want to participate in something we believe will create further division,” Shinedown added.

Other performers who have dropped out of the festival include Ludacris. Morgan Wade and Carter Faith. Creed will also not be performing, as they had only planned to perform at the South Carolina leg of the tour.

The Rock the Festival tour will still be making stops in other cities. Indeed, it will be making stops in Bellville, Texas, and Bloomingdale, Ga., in May; Sioux Falls, S.D., in June; Ashland, Ky., in July; Hastings, Mich., and Ocala, Fla., in August; and Hamburg, N.Y., in September. Kid Rock is one of the headliners, as is the country music star Jason Aldean.

Kid Rock is a true patriot who has always been open about his love for America. While it’s sad that the Rock the Country tour will no longer be going to South Carolina, we’re glad that the other dates are moving forward as planned.

God bless you, Kid Rock, and rock on!
