Bees are not fans of Kevin Bacon.

Bee Situation

The 67-year-old actor was attacked by a swarm of the buzzing beasts. He was out hiking with his 34-year-old daughter, Sosie Bacon, and her 48-year-old partner, Speak No Evil actor Scoot McNairy.

In a video on May 7, Golden Globe winner Kevin told his Instagram followers how “Scoot was in the front, Sosie was in the middle, and I was holding up the rear.” The couple alerted the Footloose legend to be aware of a beehive up ahead.

Kevin may have steered well clear of the beehive. However, that did not stop the pests from zooming in on him before they launched their sting operation.

The Apollo 13 icon quipped that the bees “must not have liked my work or something because they left the two of them alone, and they went full on after me.”

Kevin broke out into an “epic bee sting dance” after being stung all over his body. The Friday the 13th alum is glad Sosie did not pull out her phone to capture the moment her dad tried to fight off the bees.

Imitating the “Dance”

But the Tremours cast member got Sosie to imitate her dad’s hilarious moment.

Kevin flipped the camera from himself to his daughter. She flailed her body before she took off her baseball cap to swat off the imaginary bees as she tried to pull off her blue sweatshirt.

In the post’s comments section, Sosie penned, “It was nothing more, nothing less than that very dance.” Kevin’s 60-year-old wife, Brooklyn Nine-Nine actress Kyra Sedgwick, declared the reenactment “so good.”

Family Movie Project

The Bacons have come together to create a project, Family Movie. However, Sosie and her 36-year-old brother, musician Travis Bacon, were not initially game.

In March, Sosie explained to Entertainment Weekly that everyone feared “arguments” and “little tensions” when working with Kevin and Kyra.

And Travis added that he wanted his and Sosie’s voices to be heard amid the family being “attuned to the horror genre” but “from a variety of different perspectives, experiences, and age.”

But the Bacons were brought closer together by working on Family Movie. The film focuses on a filmmaking family who find themselves in a horror movie after a corpse is dumped on the set of their production.

Sosie declared it as “the most pleasant and exciting and kind of connected experience that we could have had.”

And Travis – who composed the film’s music – was delighted that the “magical” project felt “extremely collaborative and felt like everybody’s voices were heard.”

Family Movie is directed by Kevin and Kyra and written by Dan Beers.
