Earlier this week, we reported that the late night television host Jimmy Kimmel had tastelessly attacked First Lady Melania Trump during the Oscars on Sunday night. Now, the former Fox News host Megyn Kelly is firing back at him in a big way.

Kimmel Attacks Melania

Kimmel was onstage at the Oscars to announce the winner of the Best Documentary Short and Best Documentary Feature categories. Before announcing the former, Kimmel attempted to mock Melania’s eponymous documentary that was released by Amazon back in January.

“There are also documentaries where you walk around the White House trying on shoes,” Kimmel said.

When Kimmel took the stage again to announce Best Documentary Feature, he lashed out at the Trumps once again.

“Oh man, is he gonna be mad his wife wasn’t nominated for this,” Kimmel said. This was obviously a tasteless swipe at President Donald Trump.

Kelly Fires Back

Kelly fired back at Kimmel on the latest episode of her SiriusXM podcast The Megyn Kelly Show.

“OK, so he’s got to slam the first lady—nice,” said Kelly, 55. “By the way, her documentary has done very, very well. It’s pulled in tens of millions of dollars, way more than any documentary of its kind.”

Kelly went on to rebuke Kimmel, 58, who just “had to get some snipes in at the First Lady and at Trump.”

“He’s incapable of even complimenting the first lady or just staying away from her. He cannot help himself and got a big laugh from the audience,” she continued. “It’s disgusting.”

Melania was indeed a huge hit. Indeed, it ultimately earned $7 million in ticket sales across the United States and Canada. This made it the best-performing theatrical release for a documentary since 2012, with the only exception of concert films.

Kelly Blasts Conan O’Brien

Kelly also took issue with the Oscars host Conan O’Brien. She claimed that he “took a shot at our dear friend Charlie Kirk.”

O’Brien, 62, had kicked off the show by warning viewers that it might get political.

“If that makes you uncomfortable, there’s an alternate Oscars hosted by Kid Rock at the Dave & Busters down the street,” O’Brien said.

This was a reference to Kid Rock headlining an alternative halftime show during the Super Bowl for those who didn’t want to watch the Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny perform. The alternative halftime show was hosted by Kirk’s Turning Point USA organization. Kirk was sadly assassinated in September of last year at the age of 31.

“He thought it would be terrific if he just took a shot at Charlie’s organization, which they’re fighting right now to save, which they are doing everything they can,” Kelly said.

Kelly then said that the Turning Point USA halftime show “was only offered because Bad Bunny had made so many anti-USA statements and was obviously so the opposite of a patriot.”

“Turning Point doesn’t have the same money that the Hollywood crowd has, so they don’t have quite the glitz and the glamour for their alternate halftime show,” Kelly added. “Though they put on an amazing show that actually set records, which you would know, Conan, if you would take one step out of your white-privilege, woke Hollywood bubble.”

“Conan, Jimmy: predictable,” she concluded.
