Katherine Schwarzenegger, who is the wife of the Hollywood A-list star Chris Pratt, is speaking out to defend traditional marriage values.
Schwarzenegger Defends Traditional Marriage
Schwarzenegger, 36, took to Instagram this week to share a video of Pratt, 46, carefully sanding the exterior of a wooden toy house he built for their daughters, Lyla, 5, and Eloise, 3.
“I’ll never understand when women say ‘I don’t need my husband’ when I very much in fact do need my husband because who else would build our daughters a doll house?” Schwarzenegger wrote.
The post was set to the song “Man I Need” by Olivia Dean. It also included a playful caption highlighting Pratt’s personality.
“When you have a golden retriever husband >>>,” Schwarzenegger wrote.
Schwarzenegger’s Love For Her Family
Shwarzenegger has long been open about her devotion to her family. In November of 2025, she told Fox News that she’d be willing to leave Hollywood behind, but only if her family came with her.
“I can see myself moving anywhere that my mother, father, and my siblings would also move with my husband and I and my children,” she said at the time. “So wherever that is, we can have a team huddle and all decide collectively where we’d like to go.”
Schwarzenegger went on to say that proximity to her family is a non-negotiable for her.
“I’d like to go anywhere where we can just be around a lot of animals, me personally,” Shwarzenegger said. “But I feel like I can get that fix sprinkled in with having my home base be around my family.”
“Because there’s nothing that is more important to me than being able to be in close proximity to my parents and to my siblings,” she concluded. “And to be able to have that for our children is such a huge blessing and a gift. A gift that I can’t get anywhere else.”
Pratt Speaks Out
Aside from Lyla and Eloise, Pratt and Schwarzenegger are also parents to a 1 year-old son named Ford. Last month, Pratt revealed that the three kids he shares with Schwarzenegger have never seen a movie, not even the ones that he stars in himself.
“My 5-year-old, my 3-year-old and my 1-year-old have never seen movies,” Pratt said. “Katherine is very old school when it comes to screens and technology and all of that stuff. So, we’re waiting.”
“There’s going to be a season, they’re gonna realize their dad is really cool,” he added. “They haven’t realized it yet, but one day.”
Pratt also shares a 13 year-old son Jack with his ex-wife Anna Faris, who is also a Hollywood star.
“My 13-year-old, I took him to a screening of the first movie,” Pratt said, referring to The Super Mario Bros. Movie. “He thinks it’s pretty cool.”
Pratt concluded by joking that while his three youngest children may not yet understand that he’s a celebrity, he still has at least one fan at home.
“Jack likes me, though,” Pratt said with a laugh.
In the crazy world of Hollywood, it’s rare to find a celebrity couple who are as devoted to family values as Pratt and Schwarzenegger are. We applaud them for continuing to use their platforms to spread those values to the world.
God bless you both, Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger!
