Millions of people all over the world have been praying for Princess Kate Middleton ever since she announced that she had been diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. Now, these prayers have been answered, as Kate has revealed that she is officially cancer free!
Kate Is Cancer Free
Princess Kate, 42, took to social media on Monday to post an emotional video that was filmed last month near her family’s home in Norfolk. The video featured Kate along with her husband Prince William, 42, and their three children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.
“As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment,” Kate began in the video. “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.
“The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you,” she continued. “With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything.”
“This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted,” she added. “Of simply loving and being loved.”

‘I Have Finished Chemotherapy’
That’s when Kate made the happy announcement that she is currently “cancer free.”
“Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus,” she said. “Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes. I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can.”

Like anyone who has had cancer, Kate knows that it’s very possible that her disease will return. However, she is still hopeful for the future.
“Despite all that has gone before, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life,” she stated. “”William and I are so grateful for the support we have received and have drawn great strength from all those who are helping us at this time. Everyone’s kindness, empathy and compassion has been truly humbling.”
Kate ended her video with a message to anyone else out there who may be battling cancer.
“To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey – I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand,” she concluded. “Out of darkness, can come light, so let that light shine bright.”

Kate To Take On Some Public Engagements
Sources told People Magazine that Kate is excited about taking on a handful of public engagements over the coming months. However, her main focus will be on remaining cancer free. Kate is well aware of the fact that her road to recovery is still a long one.
A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace said that King Charles, who is currently undergoing treatment for cancer himself, and Queen Camilla “consider the details in today’s announcement to be wonderful news and will continue to offer all love, thoughts and support to The Princess on her continued path to full recovery.”
Kate shocked the world back in March when she revealed her cancer diagnosis to the world. She has never specified the type of cancer that she has. Kate has only said that it was discovered during abdominal surgery back in January.
Since her announcement, Kate has only been seen publicly in an official capacity on two occasions. Once on June 15 at Trooping the Colour, and then again on July 14 at Wimbledon.
This has clearly been a very difficult year for Kate and the royal family. We’re so glad that she is cancer free. Please join us in saying a prayer that she stays that way!
