It’s been one month since Justin Timberlake was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated. Now, the 43 year-old singer is reportedly ready to face the music.

Timberlake Ready To Face Consequences

Timberlake was arrested on June 18 and charged with DWI at the Sag Harbor Village Justice Court on Long Island, New York. This came just after Timberlake celebrated Father’s Day with his Hollywood star wife Jessica Biel, who praised him as “the rock” of their family, which includes two young sons.

Weeks later, Timberlake is now awaiting his fate.

“Justin is prepared to face whatever consequences he needs to,” a source close to Timberlake told Entertainment Tonight. “He is hoping to learn from this experience and put it behind him. Jess is extremely supportive and helping him navigate everything.”

“Justin is still putting his energy into his family and focus on his tour,” the insider added. “He is ready to move forward in a positive way and pouring himself into his work commitments and even creating new music.”

Timberlake’s Arrest

Timberlake had reportedly been hanging out with friends on the night of Monday, June 17. They were reportedly spending time at the American Hotel, a boutique establishment that also offers a 75-foot yacht for rent.

“Justin was with his friends [Monday] night at American Hotel and really enjoying himself,” another source said. “He seemed a little tipsy and drunk, but not in a belligerent way. When he left and got in his car, he revved his engine a few times.”

After leaving the American Hotel, Timberlake was pulled over on June 18 right after midnight. He was allegedly seen failing to stop at a stop sign and not staying in his lane.

“A traffic stop was initiated by a Police Officer from the Sag Harbor Village Police Department and upon investigation it was determined that Mr. Timberlake was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition,” the local police department said in a statement.

“Mr. Timberlake was placed under arrest, processed, and held overnight for morning arraignment,” the statement added. “Mr. Timberlake was arraigned at the Sag Harbor Village Justice Court on June 18, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. where he was released on his own recognizance.”

Timberlake Charged With DWI

Timberlake was charged with one count of DWI. He was also cited for running a stop sign and failure to keep in his lane.

Afterwards, a third source said that Timberlake was “feeling remorseful, ashamed, and humiliated, but also accountable.” The singer “does not believe he needs help when it comes to alcohol. Instead, he allegedly sees what happened as a “major lapse of judgement.”

“This situation has taken a toll on him, but he is trying to view it as a way that he can reset himself,” this source said. “He does his best to set a positive example for himself, Jess, his family and the public, and will continue to try to learn and grow. He is taking this seriously and recognizes how it can impact his family dynamic as a husband and father, and his fans too.”

Timberlake’s Next Court Date

Timberlake’s next court date is scheduled for tomorrow. However, his lawyer has since revealed that the singer won’t be attending in person.

“Mr. Timberlake will not be in attendance on 7/26 court appearance,” a representative from the office of attorney Edward Burke Jr. confirmed to Newsweek.

“Mr. Burke will be attending the court appearance in person even though it is mostly virtual just because our office is right across the street from the court,” the representative continued. “This will be a very procedural conference with the District Attorney and the Judge.”

It remains to be seen what consequences Timberlake will face for this. We continue to be thankful that nobody was hurt in this incident.
