Joy Behar is speaking out to claim that she lost 25 pounds thanks to a GLP-1 drug.

Behar’s Alleged Weight Loss

During a segment on their ABC talk show The View that aired on Wednesday, Behar and her co-hosts opened up about their experiences taking a GLP-1 medication. GLP-1 is short for glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists. It work in the brain to impact satiety. Ozempic and Mounjaro are two of the most popular brands of this drug.

“I did it because I was almost 300 pounds. and I’m looking good now!” co-host Whoopi Goldberg, 70, said with pride.

Savannah Chrisley, 28, who was guest-hosting on The View this week, admitted that she “lost 40 pounds.”

That’s when Behar, 83, chimed in to claim that she lost 25 pounds on a GLP-1.

“We all did it!” Behar boasted.

Behar’s Previous Comments

Behar did not reveal the specific GLP-1 drug that she has been taking. However, she has been open about her support for weight loss drugs in the past.

In 2024, Behar and her co-hosts on The View defended the former American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson after she was criticized for admitting to using prescription medication for weight loss.

“They kick her behind when she’s bigger, they kick her behind when she’s lost the weight, and now they’re kicking her behind because she said it out loud,” Goldberg said at the time.

“Diets do not work. I’ve been on diets up and down, up and down. You lose it, then you gain it back,” Behar alleged in response. “Nobody wants to be fat except a sumo wrestler. It’s uncomfortable, your clothes don’t fit, everybody wants to lose weight.”

Their co-host Sunny Hostin, 57, was quick to agree with them.

“I don’t think the personal health choices you make for yourself should be subject to discussion,” Hostin stated.

Behar Denies Getting A Facelift

Behar has been talking about her physical appearance quite a bit as of late. Earlier this month, she said that she’s never had a facelift after claiming that many believe that she’s undergone this procedure.

“People think I had a facelift. I did not have a facelift,” Behar told People Magazine. “Basically, I just get Botox and filler.”

“I happen to have good skin, I inherited that from my mother,” she continue. “I don’t really have a lot of wrinkles. And I’m lucky that I have a lot of hair. I do have a lot of hair; I never lost it.”

Not stopping there, Behar went on to claim that she has high cheekbones. She also offered advice on how to attain them.

“You just have to get Restylane for that,” Behar advised. “Anybody can have high cheekbones. Because it’s fat or collagen or whatever the hell they put in there. It’s not really bones,” she says. “The filler is actually way better than the Botox. The Botox, I don’t know what that does. It freezes lines on your forehead, I guess.”

Congratulations to Behar for her alleged weight loss. However, it’s safe to say that we won’t be taking beauty advice from her anytime soon.

Good riddance to you, Joy Behar!
