The legendary Joan Collins of Dynasty fame has been one of the most glamorously beautiful women in Hollywood for decades. She showed that once again on Saturday when she proved that age really is just a number as she posed in a swimsuit at the ripe young age of 92.
Collins Defies Aging In New Photo
Collins took to Instagram on Saturday to tease a major career move alongside a photo of herself in her bathing suit.
“The producer is thinking of making a sequel to Murder Between Friends,” Collins wrote in the caption. “I played Francesca Carlyle who is a tv star and also a private detective. ( like shades of Agatha Christie & Murder She Wrote ). Meanwhile, I’m relaxing in the South of France in 90° heat.🔥 Thinking of my next move or next movie!”
Collins wrote this alongside an image of herself lounging poolside in a white bathing suit. Indeed, you would never know by looking at her that she’s over 90 years of age! Check out the photo for yourself below.
Social Media Users Respond
Unfortunately for Collins, the photo earned some mixed reviews from social media users.
“Gorgeous but heavily filtered,” one social media user commented. “Let’s be honest. Her skin in real life is not like this. Don’t appreciate unrealistic expectations for someone in her decade.”
Others, however, were quick to defend Collins.
“Who cares, filters or not,” one social media user wrote. “At 90, being alive and still living a life is an achievement to be celebrated.”
“For God’s sake she’s 92! She’s always taken care of herself and looks great,” another user added. “WHO CARES IF SHE USES FILTERS? Go complain about someone that’s 18 or 25 filtered to smithereens. She’s 92! We don’t need the filter police trying to turn this into something negative.
Thankfully, the bulk of the comments heaped Collins with praise.
“How do you pull this off…. Looking that great and keep looking younger every time,” a third user commented. “Must be love, happy family life and the love of your life and having fun!!”
Collins Talks Aging
Collins has long been open about her feelings on aging.
“There’s far too much fuss about aging,” Collins told The Express in 2023. “You see people in their 90s and 100s doing amazing things – running and jumping on Instagram – there’s no reason to fall apart. I do my stretching exercises each morning and I have a trainer on Zoom three times a week.”
Collins went on to say that her routine includes “standing on one leg” for “almost a minute.” She also credits her youthful appearance to being married to someone 32 years her junior. Collins has been married to her fifth husband Percy Gibson, 58, since 2002.
“It is fifth time lucky,” Collins explained. “I’ve been feeling that for years. He’s a wonderful, kind, truly good man. He’s my – what’s the thing he always says? – my accomplice, yes, and my best friend. Plus he’s extremely handsome and he just gets better and better.”
“Everyone says how lucky I am,” she concluded. “And how good he’s looking right now.”
