It’s been one year since Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck finalized their divorce after just two years of marriage. This week, Lopez took a subtle dig at Affleck while performing at her Las Vegas residency.

Lopez Makes Dig At Affleck

Lopez, 56, is currently enjoying the success of her sold-out concerts at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. During one of her recent shows, Lopez interacted with some of her fans in the audience.

When Lopez spotted one eager fan, she pointed at him and shouted, “Can we bring him up here? Yes you!”

“Oh yes look at this guy,” Lopez added. “We’re gonna take him for everything that he’s got.”

When Lopez asked the fan his name, he simply replied “Ben.”

This didn’t sit well with Lopez, who responded with a loud “ugh!” She then burst out laughing as she welcomed him onstage.

Check out the awkward moment for yourself in the video below.

Lopez And Affleck’s History

Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck, 53, on their second wedding anniversary in August of 2024. Though they were only married for two years, Lopez and Affleck’s love story goes back decades.

Lopez and Affleck met in December of 2001 on the set of their infamous movie Gigli. They became engaged the next year, only to shock fans by calling off their planned wedding in 2003 just days before it was set to take place.

Lopez and Affleck each went on to marry and divorce different people. She married the singer Marc Anthony while he married the former Alias star Jennifer Garner.

Lopez and Anthony were married from 2004 until 2014, welcoming twins during that time. Meanwhile, Affleck was married to Garner from 2005 until 2018. During that time, they had three children.

Lopez and Affleck reunited and quickly rekindled their romance in April of 2021. They then married in July of 2022. This was Lopez’s fourth marriage, while it was Affleck’s second.

Sadly, it didn’t take long for their marriage to go off the rails. Lopez filed for divorce in August of 2024, citing their date of separation as April 26 of that year. Their divorce was finalized in January of 2025.

Lopez Is In Her ‘Single Era’

During a recent interview, Lopez proudly declared that she’s in her “single era.” Indeed, she made it clear that she is in no rush to start dating again anytime soon.

“No! No I’m not! God forbid, I don’t want to ruin anything!” Lopez adamantly replied when asked if she was “dating up a storm.”

“It’s so nice right now! I’m so happy! It’s the best. I just feel really good right now,” she continued. “And that was a scary thing for me when I was younger. I didn’t know if I could do that. I was always really afraid to be alone.”

Despite her heartbreak with Affleck, Lopez insists that she’s doing better than ever these days.

“I’m in my happy era!” Lopez gushed. “For the first time in my life, I feel I’m free, I’m on my own. It feels really good. I didn’t really know what that felt like since I was in my early 20s and even before that, I always had boyfriends. There was always someone in my life, and so many other things that I felt like were out of my control.”

“I’ve gotten to the point where I really trust myself and appreciate myself a little bit more, instead of being so hard on myself all the time and always trying to prove myself,” Lopez concluded.

Though it’s sad that Lopez and Affleck didn’t make it as a couple longterm, we’re glad that she seems to be taking their split in stride. We’d like to wish Lopez the best of luck with the rest of her Las Vegas residency performances.

God bless you, Jennifer Lopez!
