Jennifer Lopez has suffered a series of setbacks over the past year both personally and professionally. Now, things have gotten even worse for Lopez. Indeed, insiders are alleging that Lopez’s longtime rival Mariah Carey is taking “great pleasure” in her misery.
Carey’s ‘Triumphant’ Comeback
Carey, 56, and Lopez, also 56, have been bitter rivals for decades.
While Lopez has spent the past few months desperately trying to revive her career with her international Up All Night tour, Carey recently returned to the stage for the first time in years when she performed at at England’s Brighton Pride 2025 earlier this month.
There, Carey performed songs from her upcoming album Here for It All, including “Type Dangerous.” She also made sure to sing some of her greatest hit like “Emotions” and “Make It Happen.”
“Mariah has come back triumphant, she looks fantastic, and her confidence has never been higher,” an insider told The National Enquirer. “She really wowed the crowd at the show and hit her signature high notes.”
Carey Takes ‘Great Pleasure’ In Lopez’s Failures
The source went on to say that behind the scenes, Carey is “patting herself on the back and saying she did a whole lot better than J.Lo did.”
“J.Lo had a rough time, with her concert being so tacky and lame and then the wardrobe malfunction really loused things up. Mariah’s taking great pleasure in J.Lo’s humiliation,” the insider continued. “One of Mariah’s driving factors was to get one up on her rival. She can’t stand J.Lo and is twisting the knife and enjoying a brag or two.”
It should be noted that the reviews of Carey’s performance have been mixed. Despite this, the insider claimed that “Mariah is pleased with how it went. She’s only seeing the positive side and she wants to build on her success and do more tours in the future — something that J.Lo might not want to do after the mess she found herself in.”
The source concluded by saying that though Carey and Lopez are the same age, “Mariah’s convinced she’s aging better. It bugs her that people say J.Lo is an ageless beauty when she thinks she’s just as hot, or hotter.”

Lopez’s Wild Sex Confession
This comes one month after Lopez shocked the world by making a wild sex confession onstage.
Lopez was performing at the Lucca Summer Festival in Italy. There, she admitted that her sexual desires in the bedroom have been shifting as of late. Indeed, Lopez told her fans that she is feeling more “naughty” than ever before when it comes to her sexual exploits.
“I have to be honest with you, sometimes I get in different moods at night. I don’t know about you, but I do — and sometimes I like it hard,” Lopez began. “Other days, I am feeling a little romantic. You put on candles and soft music. On those days, I like it real slow.”
“But there’s other days . . . maybe because it’s a new kind of time for me, maybe because it’s summertime and it’s hot outside, I feel a little more naughty,” she continued.
Lopez couldn’t help but laugh as the crowd audibly reacted to what she had to say.
“You ever get that feeling?” she asked them. “Where you feel like being naughty? On those days, I like it real fast.”
This didn’t sit well with the former Fox News host Megyn Kelly, who took to social media to respond.
“So she’s a soft porn star now. Great choices!” Kelly wrote alongside a video of Lopez’s sexually explicit performance.
Carey and Lopez are both incredibly talented women who have been at the top of the music industry for decades. While it would be nice if they were friends, we can also understand why they feel too competitive with one another to be close in real life.
