It’s been nine months since Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck finalized their divorce after just two years of marriage. Now, insiders are claiming that Lopez has finally cut Affleck off. Indeed, Lopez has reportedly stopped reaching out to Affleck because “he never answers.”
Lopez Cuts Off Affleck
Affleck, 53, told GQ back in March that he has nothing but respect” for Lopez, 56. He also claimed that there was “no scandal, no soap opera, no intrigue” to their split.
Behind the scenes, however, it seems that things aren’t so amicable.
“She’s stopped leaving messages or texts because he never answers,” an insider told Yahoo News. “It’s so demeaning and rude.”
The source went on to say that Lopez reached out to Affleck on his birthday last month. Despite this, he didn’t engage with her. Unfortunately for Lopez, this has become par for the course when it comes to her communications with Affleck.
“Once in a while Ben will get back to her with the bare minimum or a ‘like’ to one of her questions,” the insider lamented. “But 99.9 percent of the time, it’s all being handled by his lawyers or assistants.”
This is particularly frustrating for still Lopez is that she and Affleck are still trying to unload their $68 million mansion in Beverly Hills, California. On top of that, Lopez will be forced to promote her new movie Kiss of the Spider Woman with Affleck, as he produced it.
“It’s driving J.Lo absolutely batty,” the insider concluded.

Lopez And Affleck’s History
Though they were only married for two years, Lopez and Affleck’s love story goes back decades.
Lopez and Affleck met in December of 2001 on the set of their infamous movie Gigli. They became engaged the next year, only to shock fans by calling off their planned wedding in 2003 just days before it was set to take place.
Lopez and Affleck each went on to marry and divorce different people. Affleck married Jennifer Garner, an actress best known for starring in the hit TV show Alias, in 2005. They had three children together before they divorced in 2018.
Meanwhile, Lopez married the singer Marc Anthony, staying with him from 2004 until they divorced in 2014. He’s the father of her 17 year-old twins.
Lopez and Affleck reunited and quickly rekindled their romance in April of 2021. They went on to marry in July of 2022.
Sadly, it didn’t take long for their marriage to go off the rails. Lopez filed for divorce in August of 2024, citing their date of separation as April 26 of that year, as we previously stated. Their divorce was finalized in January of 2025.
Lopez Looks To The Future
These days, Lopez is reportedly trying to focus on the future. An insider told People Magazine last month that Lopez had the “time of her life this summer.”
“She loved connecting with fans all over the world,” this source added. “The tour was amazing. It’s been a great focus for her. She’s been doing what she really enjoys.”
In the end, perhaps it’s for the best that Lopez and Affleck are no longer in contact after everything that’s happened. Only time will tell where the future takes them both!
