Wednesday was the one year anniversary of Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck. Their divorce was finalized in January of this year.
Now, insiders are alleging that Lopez is eager to start dating again. In fact, she’s reportedly so desperate to find a “quality man” that she’s “ready” to pay top dollar to enlist the help of a matchmaker.
Lopez Wants To Start Dating Again
Though Lopez, 56, struggled with her split from Affleck, 53, she’s reportedly ready to get back on the dating scene. However, she’s allegedly only open to dating again if she can secure the help of a professional “matchmaker.”
“Meeting men isn’t an issue for J.Lo, the challenge is meeting quality men,” one insider claimed. “She could snap her fingers and have a new man in her bed in a heartbeat, but when it comes to finding a life partner that’s where she runs into trouble.”
“She has very high expectations about who she wants to share her life with, they need to be super successful, handsome, and at the top of their game in every way,” this source continued. “They don’t necessarily need to be worth more than she is, but she does want them to be in the same ballpark as she is when it comes to their net worth.”
The insider went on to acknowledge that these kinds of men are “few and far between.” That’s why Lopez has concluded that she needs professional help to land one.
“There are only a handful of matchmakers in the world that cater to the top one percent, so they’re very pricey,” the source concluded. “We’re talking upwards of a million dollars, but J.Lo has been told by a number of people that it’s worth spending the money. She’s ready to sign up and get some help.”
Lopez And Affleck’s History
Though they were only married for two years, Lopez and Affleck’s love story goes back decades.
Lopez and Affleck met in December of 2001 on the set of their infamous movie Gigli. They became engaged the next year, only to shock fans by calling off their planned wedding in 2003 just days before it was set to take place.
Lopez and Affleck each went on to marry and divorce different people. Affleck married Jennifer Garner, an actress best known for starring in the hit TV show Alias, in 2005. They had three children together before they divorced in 2018.
Meanwhile, Lopez married the singer Marc Anthony, staying with him from 2004 until they divorced in 2014. He’s the father of her 17 year-old twins.
Lopez And Affleck Reunite
Lopez and Affleck reunited and quickly rekindled their romance in April of 2021. They went on to marry in July of 2022.
Sadly, it didn’t take long for their marriage to go off the rails. Lopez filed for divorce in August of 2024, citing their date of separation as April 26 of that year, as we previously stated. Their divorce was finalized in January of 2025.
