Earlier this week, we reported that the Netflix star Sara Burack was killed in a brutal hit-and-run last Thursday. Now, sad new details have emerged about Burack’s final days. Indeed, Burack’s fans may be shocked to learn that she was actually homeless at the time of her death.
Burack’s Final Days
Burack, 40, was seen dragging a pink suitcase around Hampton Bays in the weeks before she was killed on June 19. It was a tragic fall from grace for the former A-list realtor who had once been a member of the Hamptons elite.
Burack had previously been a top-selling realtor at Nest Seekers International. In this job, she regularly sold multi-million dollar homes. In her final weeks, however, Burack had resorted to showering at a local Planet Fitness. She was also known to beg local business owners for cardboard boxes.
Locals are still too loyal to Burack to reveal the specific demons that she was fighting. One local Hamptons resident who only identified himself as Michael told Daily Mail that Burack looked like a movie star. He was shocked to find out that she was homeless.
Burack’s Last Hours
Just before her death, Burack s that stopped in at a local 7-Eleven. She often came to this store to grab items like bottled water. Burack then walked out into the foggy night with her pink wheeled suitcase. She was last seen walking in the right-hand lane of the busy Montauk Highway. Burack was hit by marine biologist Amanda Kempton’s vehicle just before 3am outside of Villa Paul Restaurant.
Hours before that, Burack stopped at a local taxi depot sometime “between 10.30pm and 10.45pm.” An employee said that she asked him for a cardboard box. She then became “combative” as she admitted that she had been taking showers at Planet Fitness. However, the employee said that Burack “looked unclean, had dirty hair, and a slight odor.”
“I was not sure how she was getting her clothes cleaned but she was pretty much carrying everything with her and see her walking sometimes with a cart,” he said.
The employee didn’t seem fazed when he was told that Burack had once been a luxury realtor.
“In this business I see everything,” he explained. “The rise and fall of people.”

Burack Found After Hit-And-Run
Mario, a mason and commercial fisherman, was driving home after spending night working on a friend’s fishing boat when he saw something in the road. When he pulled over, he realized that it was Burack.
“She was bleeding. Her head was on the curb and her body was contorted like a pretzel,” Mario recounted.
Burack was “moaning” when Mario found her. The former realtor’s injuries were horrific, but Mario said that at one point, “she was responsive and she lifted her hand.”
“I held it and prayed until the cops came,” Mario recalled.
EMS and police tried to save Burack as they rushed her to Stonybrook Hospital. Sadly, her injuries were too severe, and she was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
Mario Slams Driver
“This girl has brand new black Heely’s on and a designer bag in the grass,” Mario stated. “I wasn’t sure if she was a homeless girl, a working girl or someone on their way home from work.”
“There was a trail of blood and all her personal belongings were sprawled out all over the road, including a diamond tennis bracelet,” he continued. “This girl was hit at a high speed because if she was hit at 20mph or 30mph there was no way her body would have been like that.”
Because of this, Mario believes that Burack was hit by a vehicle and dragged more than a 100 feet. He didn’t see any skid marks in the road.
“If you hit a speed bump, an animal, a pothole most people hit the brakes. This person never hit the brakes once,” Mario said. “There is no [expletive] way (the driver) didn’t know they hit a person.”
Kempton, 32, has since been arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident. She has pled not guilty and claims that she thought she hit a traffic cone.

‘She Didn’t Deserve To Die Like She Died’
Burack’s friends have been left heartbroken by her death.
“She was the type of person who was always there for people who needed her,” one female friend said while putting flowers on a memorial for Burack outside Villa Paul restaurant. “[Burack] made her own money. She was proud of her life and what she accomplished. She wanted to handle everything on her own, she did not want anyone to do anything for her.”
“Whatever happened to her she didn’t deserve to die like she died in the gutter – in the street,” the friend added. “This woman hit her so hard that there was nothing left in her brain. The doctor showed us her scan. Her brain was damaged in so many places there was no chance for survival.”
Burack was laid to rest at Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Glendale, Queens in a Jewish ceremony last Sunday.
“It was comforting to know that Sara’s final resting place was up on a hill with the New York skyline peeking through a tree,” her friend concluded.
