We previously reported that Hilaria Baldwin, the wife of the Hollywood star Alec Baldwin, was competing on the 34th season of Dancing With The Stars. On Tuesday night, Hilaria finally learned her fate on the ABC reality television dance competition.
Hilaria Loses It After Being Eliminated
Last night, Hilaria became the fourth celebrity to be eliminated from this season of Dancing With The Stars. Afterwards, Hilaria unraveled as she grabbed the microphone from host Julianne Hough to send a message to the audience.
“Listen, I’m so proud of you,” Hilaria’s partner Gleb Savchenko said immediately after their elimination from the competition.
That’s when Hilaria grabbed Julianne’s microphone to speak directly to the audience.
“I am so grateful to all of you, I’m so grateful to my children and my family,” said Hilaria, 41. “I’m cheering on everybody in the cast. This has been an amazing time.”
Once the show ended, Hilaria broke down in tears as she began to process her elimination.
“I mean, the only reason I’m sad is because I was so happy. I was so happy,” the mother of seven told People Magazine. “And so, that’s an important thing to remember. Sadness comes from missing something that was wonderful.”
Hilaria went on to describe Dancing With The Stars as “a wonderful experience” before telling Gleb, “I’m happy I got to do it with you.”
As for Gleb, he had nothing but pride in his partner.
“You put your heart and soul into dance,” he told Hilaria. “You had so much passion and love for it and I truly appreciate it because I’ve been doing this for 35 years, and I know how hard it is and I know how much work it takes to perfect things.”
“I know how much it meant for you to continue on but, look, we got a chance, both … I had a chance to dance with you for four weeks and I’m just so proud of you and let’s just go and continue practicing tomorrow,” he added. “You never know.”
Hilaria Teased Alec Performance Before Elimination
Last night was Disney night on Dancing With The Stars. Prior to their elimination, Hilaria and Gleb performed a Quickstep to the song “Cantina Band” from Star Wars: A New Hope.
Before Hilaria found out her score, Julianne told her, “I know how important that it is for you to get through tonight’s elimination for next week. You have somebody special that and you will be dancing with.”
“I do. I have somebody special,” Hilaria replied. “Can you imagine who that is?”
“It might be your other father,” she joked as Julianne stated, “Alec.”
This was an indication to fans that had Hilaria survived in the competition, she was planning to have Alec join her on the dance floor next week.
“Next week we have something really fun planned,” Hilaria teased. “We are going to do a dance that I love so much. I think it will be very meaningful to my entire family and my children who have been so supportive for me here. I really hope to make it.”
Unfortunately for both Hilaria and Alec, however, she won’t be hitting the dance floor next week at all. Check out their final performance in the video below.
Social Media Celebrates
Making this even more devastating for Hilaria is the fact that social media users have been celebrating her elimination like crazy.
“HILARIA ELIMINATED THANK GOD,” one social media user commented. Another added, “HILARIA IS GONE WE DID IT!”
“me giving 10 votes to even people I hate just so hilaria leaves,” a third social media user wrote. A fourth commented, “Hilaria talking like she’s automatically coming back next week wouldn’t it be funny if she… didn’t.”
“Simultaneously celebrating Hilaria being gone while panicking at the thought that eliminations are about to be so much harder,” yet another social media user wrote.
Hilaria’s elimination leaves ten stars remaining in the competition. Those ten stars are: Alix Earle, Andy Richter, Danielle Fishel, Elaine Hendrix, Jordan Chiles, Dylan Efron, Scott Hoying, Robert Irwin, Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt.
