Earlier today, we reported that Whoopi Goldberg had admitted that her name is in the Jeffrey Epstein files. Now, Goldberg’s past has come back to haunt her as this scandal continues to escalate for her.
In the wake of Goldberg popping up in the Epstein files, a clip from 2009 in which she defends the disgraced director Roman Polanski has resurfaced.
Goldberg Defends Polanski
In the clip, Goldberg, 70, talked about Polanski’s 1977 arrest for allegedly drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl. Polanski, 92, pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of unlawful sex with a minor. However, he then fled America the night before his sentencing and moved to France, where he continued his career making movies.
Goldberg shockingly defended Polanski in the 17 year-old clip.
“I know it wasn’t rape, rape,” Goldberg said as she waited for the right information to be passed to her via her earpiece.
“I think it was something else, but I don’t believe that it was rape, rape,” she continued. “And, when we get all of the information…”
“All I’m trying to get you to understand is we’re talking about what someone did and what they were charged with, we have to say what it actually was, not what we thought it was,” Goldberg added.
Goldberg’s co-host Sherri Shepherd fired back at her by saying, “He gave her quaaludes, he gave her champagne, she was drugged, she was 13 years old.”
Goldberg outrageously continued to defend Polanski.
“They were having sex beforehand, Sherri,” the former Sister Act star said.
“That’s what I’m saying, you’re 13 years old!” Shepherd replied. “She was still a child.”

Goldberg Admits She’s In The Epstein Files
This comes after Goldberg admitted on The View that her name is in the Epstein files. It was featured in an email exchange with Epstein from back in 2013. In the message, Goldberg was trying to find a private jet to take her to a charity event in Monaco.
“In the name of transparency, my name is in the files. Yes!” Goldberg confessed.
Goldberg proceeded to read the email out loud, stating, “It says, ‘Whoopi needs a plane to get to Monaco… Julian Lennon’s charity is paying for it. They don’t want to charter so they’re looking for private owners. Here’s the info.'”
“And they give all the information and they’re saying, ‘Do you want to offer your G2?'” she added. Epstein responded by simply saying, “no thanks.”
“So in other words, anybody can be on this list?” asked co-host Joy Behar, 83.
“This is my point because when I tell you, people are trying to turn me into … I wasn’t his girlfriend, I wasn’t his friend,” Goldberg lamented. “I was not only too old [for him], but it was at a time where this is just not — you used to have to have facts before you said stuff.”
Goldberg Whines That She’s ‘Getting Dragged’
Behar chimed back in to claim that President Donald Trump is mentioned in the Epstein files “38,000 times.”
“I can’t speak to him, but I’m speaking about me because I’m getting dragged,” Goldberg continued. “People actually believe that I was with him. It’s like honey, come on. Every man that I’ve ever been with, you’ve known about because either the Enquirer wrote about it, people wrote about this stuff. So, no.”
“I didn’t get on the plane because you know what I would have to do to get on the plane?” she added. “They’re trying to get me to get on a plane [to go to the charity event].”

Goldberg On Thin Ice At ABC
This comes amidst rumors that Goldberg is on thin ice at ABC. According to these claims, ABC executives have been tiring of her nonsense as of late.
Back in October, an insider claimed that ABC executives are so fed up with Goldberg’s nonsense that they are “looking hard at a refresh — maybe even a total overhaul” of The View’s panel.
“Executives are tired of cleaning up her messes,” the insider alleged. “Patience is running out.”

Goldberg appearing in the Epstein files, and her disturbing 2007 defense of Polanski resurfacing, will certainly do nothing to help her case when it comes to staying on ABC. Only time will tell if ABC executives decide it’s worth it to keep someone like Goldberg on air much longer!
