Earlier this week, we reported that Whoopi Goldberg had admitted that her name is in the Jeffrey Epstein files. Now, Goldberg is desperately trying to defend herself again for this, claiming that she did nothing wrong. However, Goldberg is also still calling for the arrests of others who were named in the Epstein files.
Goldberg Defends Herself Again
On Thursday morning’s episode of The View, co-host Joy Behar, 83, kicked things off by saying that there are “a lot of crazy names” in the Epstein files.
“[The amount of names is] almost like a way to muddy the water,” Behar said. “So you say, oh, Whoopi is on the list, right, and so am I.”
Behar then said that a name appearing in the files could be due to something as simple as being at a party or a wedding that Epstein attended. That’s when Goldberg took the opportunity to double down in attempting to defend her own appearance in the files.
“If you look, you know why my name is there, because someone was looking for a plane and that’s what people do,” said Goldberg, 70. “They go to all the people who have private planes and say ‘do you have one?'”
“I didn’t know they were looking for a plane,” she claimed. “I had no idea the plane I was supposed to be on was no longer available. So I’m named in there like ‘Whoopi Goldberg needs a plane.'”
“Names on the list that may have not done anything wrong,” co-host Sunny Hostin, 57, chimed in to add. “But I think there are a lot of people on the list that are guilty of wrongdoing and I have no confidence, unfortunately.”
Goldberg Doubles Down
Goldberg responded to this by expressing confidence that the Department of Justice will eventually figure out the truth on this.
“I think they are going to… how you eat around an apple till you get to the core? I think that’s how they’re going to do it,” Goldberg insisted. “They’re going to eat all this stuff all around here and then hopefully, they’ll get to the core.”

Goldberg’s Initial Defense Of Herself
This comes days after Goldberg admitted on The View that her name is in the Epstein files. It was featured in an email exchange with Epstein from back in 2013. In the message, Goldberg was trying to find a private jet to take her to a charity event in Monaco.
“In the name of transparency, my name is in the files. Yes!” Goldberg confessed on Tuesday morning.
Goldberg proceeded to read the email out loud, stating, “It says, ‘Whoopi needs a plane to get to Monaco… Julian Lennon’s charity is paying for it. They don’t want to charter so they’re looking for private owners. Here’s the info.'”
“And they give all the information and they’re saying, ‘Do you want to offer your G2?'” she added. Epstein responded by simply saying, “no thanks.”
“So in other words, anybody can be on this list?” asked Behar.
“This is my point because when I tell you, people are trying to turn me into … I wasn’t his girlfriend, I wasn’t his friend,” Goldberg lamented. “I was not only too old [for him], but it was at a time where this is just not — you used to have to have facts before you said stuff.”
Goldberg Whines That She’s ‘Getting Dragged’
Behar chimed back in to claim that President Donald Trump is mentioned in the Epstein files “38,000 times.”
“I can’t speak to him, but I’m speaking about me because I’m getting dragged,” Goldberg continued. “People actually believe that I was with him. It’s like honey, come on. Every man that I’ve ever been with, you’ve known about because either the Enquirer wrote about it, people wrote about this stuff. So, no.”
“I didn’t get on the plane because you know what I would have to do to get on the plane?” she added. “They’re trying to get me to get on a plane [to go to the charity event].”

Goldberg Allegedly On Thin Ice At ABC
Goldberg is clearly in full panic mode over her name being featured in the Epstein files. This might be because she was already reportedly on thin ice with ABC executives.
Back in October, an insider claimed that ABC executives are so fed up with Goldberg’s nonsense that they are “looking hard at a refresh — maybe even a total overhaul” of The View’s panel.
“Executives are tired of cleaning up her messes,” the insider alleged. “Patience is running out.”

Goldberg has been incredibly outspoken in condemning President Donald Trump for being featured in the Epstein files. Perhaps she should have thought twice and made sure her own name wasn’t featured in the files before doing that. It will certainly be interesting to see how all of this unfolds for Goldberg as more information about the Epstein files comes to light.
Good riddance, Whoopi Goldberg!
