The comedian and podcast host Joe Rogan, who was famously an atheist for many years, was left speechless this week when he was shown “evidence that Jesus was real.”

Rogan Is Given ‘Evidence That Jesus Was Real’

On “The Joe Rogan Experience” this week, Rogan interviewed the religious scholar Wesley Huff. During their talk, Rogan admitted that he may have been ‘wrong’ about religion all along.

Things really got interesting when Huff handed Rogan Papyrus 52. This is a replica of what Christians say is one of the oldest known manuscripts of the Bible. It is believed to have been written nearly 2,000 years ago. It’s also thought to be the oldest excerpt of the long-lost Gospel of John in the Bible.

This artifact recounts the trial of Jesus Christ. It is believed that it is eyewitness testimony of everything that happened leading up to Jesus’ crucifixion. Christians say that Papyrus 52 serves as evidence that the events described in the Bible took place exactly how they were written in the holy book.

Rogan looked visibly shocked as he examined Papyrus 52.

“Wow. That’s unbelievable,” he stammered. “Wow. That’s so fascinating.”

‘What Is Truth?’

The front of the replica given to Rogan reads, “Jesus says, everyone who follows the truth, who is following the truth, follows me.” Meanwhile, the back of it quotes the words of [Pontius] Pilate saying, “What is truth?” Pilate was the Roman governor of Judea around 33 A.D.

Rogan has been open about going back and forth on religion. Though he was raised “pretty atheist,” he became spiritual after his grandfather passed away. These days, he appears to be more open to religion than ever.

Later in their interview, Huff asked Rogan, “What do you think of the historical person of Jesus?”

Rogan responded by admitting that he’s fascinated by his understanding that the “concept of this person that died for our sins, that’s the Son of God, but you have to believe in a bunch of stuff to go that way.” He went on to say that this concept provides hope for many people, which he acknowledges is a positive thing.

Rogan Calls Out Hollywood For Being Anti-Christian

Christianity has clearly been on Rogan’s mind quite a lot lately. He brought up the way Hollywood negatively treats Christianity while interview the Oscar-winning star Mel Gibson in another episode of his podcast this week.

‘There’s resistance first of all from secular Hollywood where for whatever reason Christianity is the one religion that you’re allowed to disparage,” Rogan lamented. “Christianity is the one religion where people, all these progressive open-minded leftist people, they’ll embrace all these different religions until it comes to Christianity.”

“For whatever reason that represents like white male you know whatever it represents colonialism you know whatever it represents it’s negative,” he added.

I’m so glad to see that a former atheist like Rogan appears to finally be coming around on Christianity. In the end, this serves as a reminder that it’s never too late for someone to open their heart to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
