Patricia Heaton, the Christian actress best known for her starring role in Everybody Loves Raymond, is speaking out this week to issue a warning to young women when it comes to waiting to have children.
Heaton Sounds Off
Heaton has seen the trends in society, and she wants young women to hear the other side of the story.
“So they’re in their 30s before they’re trying. And I understand that we’re living in a different time now. You might feel like, in your 20s, you’re not ready, you can’t afford it. But, if at all possible, the earlier you start, the better,” Heaton, 67, told Fox News.
“You have better chances because once you get in your 30s, and then you realize there’s an issue, the clock is really ticking,” she continued.
Back in 2020, Heaton described motherhood as being an “indescribable” experience
“Being a mother is indescribable; joy, worry, delight, frustration, but ultimately the greatest satisfaction and deepest human love of your life. So grateful,” she said at the time.
Heaton is the mother of four sons: Samuel, 31, John, 29, Joseph, 27 and Daniel, 26.

Heaton’s Marriage
Heaton has been married to her husband David Hunt since 1990.
Unlike the vast majority of stars in Hollywood, Heaton isn’t afraid to be open about her strong Christian faith.
“There’s a saying, ‘Jesus died for us publicly. So don’t live for Him privately,’” she told Christian Post in 2021. “But I also think you have to talk about why you can love in difficult circumstances. Now, it’s because He first loved us. While we were still in our sin, He died for us.”
“It’s kind of our job here as Christians to certainly extend the love of Christ, the love that He extended to us, to extend it to others through our actions,” she added.

There are far too few examples of good Christians in Hollywood these days, so voices like Heaton’s are needed now more than ever. We applaud her for being so open about what she gave up for Lent, and we wish her the best of luck as she continues to go without social media and television!
