The country music legend Dolly Parton is reportedly working on a new business venture that will likely come as a surprise to some of her fans.

Parton’s New Business Venture

Daily Mail reported that Parton, 78, has been working on her own brand of alcoholic beverages in the United States, where she’s already registered the trademark for the business venture as well as at the Intellectual Property Office in the United Kingdom.

“Dolly is always looking at new ways to reach her audience and thought her own wine was a swell idea,” a source told The Sun.

“She isn’t a huge drinker herself but she likes to have something special when she does fancy a tipple,” the insider added. “She has been involved in developing the wine and is excited for it to hit the shelves.”

This will come as a surprise to many of her fans, given the fact that Parton has previously said that she rarely drinks alcohol.

“I never did do drugs or alcohol,” Parton said in 2019. “I do drink if I’m out on a special dinner and when I fly ‘cos I don’t like to fly, so I usually have a couple of glasses of wine, but for the most part I’m just not much of a doper or a drinker.”

Parton’s Other Business Ventures

This would be just the latest in a long line of business ventures for Parton, and it comes off the massive success of her canine clothing brand Doggy Parton.

“My love for pets is stronger than ever,” Parton said when she launched Doggy Parton back in 2022. “This inspired me to start my own line of Doggy Parton apparel, accessories, toys and more with a little ‘Dolly’ flair.”

“Dolly is so passionate about pooches — and her Doggy Parton range proves that,” a source told The Sun at the time. “She’s personally overseen the designs, which includes scarves, hats, raincoats and skirts for canines, along with hair accessories.”

“There is also a full bedding range and furniture,” this insider continued. “It’s very Dolly. She’s really proud of it.”

Parton’s Baking Collection

That same year, Parton launched a “rockin’ new baking collection” in her Duncan Hines line, releasing two cake mixes – banana and coconut – and two kinds of frosting to match. In January of last year, she added cornbread, biscuit, and brownie mixes to her collection, revealing that she mixes up for her husband Carl Dean, who she’s been married to since 1966.

“My husband’s a big chocolate fan, so I’m always cooking him chocolate,” Parton explained at the time.

Since then, Parton has continued to expand this brand, adding a yellow cake, blueberry muffin, banana nut muffin, cinnamon swirl crumb cake and chocolate cake mixes.

Parton’s Fragrance Line

On top of all that, Parton has her own line of fragrances, something that was always a dream for her.

“Having my own perfume has always been a dream of mine,” she previously said. “For as long as I can remember, people have commented on my scent. ‘What are you wearing?,’ ‘What is that fantastic smell?,’ and ‘Where can I get it?’ are all questions I have heard daily for more years than I can remember.”

“The truth is, I have been blending my own scent for years. It’s a combination of bath oils, powders and perfumes that have become my ‘signature’ and is known everywhere I go,” she concluded. “It’s time for me to share this with you. I hope you enjoy!”

Of course, Parton also has her theme park Dollywood, which continues to be a massive success to this day. Somehow Parton manages to juggle all of this with her singing career, so it’s no wonder that she’s widely considered one of the busiest women in show business today!

Most people can barely handle one job, so it’s nothing short of amazing that Parton is able to take all of these things on at once. If her other brands are any indication, Parton’s alcoholic beverages are likely to be a delicious hit!
