Jessica Alba has been one of the most famous stars in Hollywood for decades. What many of her fans likely don’t know about her, however, is that she was kidnapped as a teenager back in the 1990s.
Incredibly, the case has never been solved!
Alba’s Chilling Kidnapping
Now 43, Alba was only 15 when she was kidnapped in the spring of 1996. She was in Australia at the time filming the television show Flipper.
Alba was actually shooting scenes for the show when she suddenly went missing without a trace. Her family, friends, and the Flipper crew spent hours frantically searching for her.
Alba was finally found fourteen hours after she went missing. She was shockingly discovered bound and gagged in the trunk of a car miles from the Flipper set.
Sadly, there were few clues in Alba’s disappearance, which still hasn’t been solved to this day. Police were not even able to identify any suspects or potential motives. Indeed, investigators closed the case months later with no resolution.
In the weeks leading up to the kidnapping, Alba had been receiving unsettling phone calls. It is unknown if they are connected to her disappearance, but it wouldn’t be surprising if they were. Alba, who is known to be very tight-lipped about her private life, has never spoken out about her kidnapping publicly.

Alba In The Midst Of A Divorce
The kidnapping story resurfaced after Alba announced that she is divorcing her husband Cash Warren after seventeen years of marriage. The couple share three children: daughters Honor, 16, and Haven, 13, and son Hayes, 7.
“I’ve been on a journey of self realization and transformation for years – both as an individual and in partnership with Cash,” Alba wrote on Instagram as she announced her divorce. “I’m proud of how we’ve grown as a couple and in our marriage over the last 20 years and it’s now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals.”
“We are moving forward with love and kindness and respect for each other and will forever be family,” she continued. “Our children remain our highest priority and we request privacy at this time.”
An insider told People Magazine that Alba and Warren remain “friends and all about the kids” as they navigate their divorce.
“No matter what’s going on right now, it seems they will remain close,” the source claimed. “If they’re filing for divorce, it’s not because of some hateful drama. They still look happy together.”
“Jess has mentioned over the years though that it’s hard to keep the spark,” the insider added.

Happier Times For Alba And Warren
In May of last year, Alba celebrated her and Warren’s sixteenth wedding anniversary with a gushing Instagram post.
“16 years of marriage, 20 years together and forever to go,” she wrote at the time.
“I’m proud of us for making it this far,” she continued. “There is no real set of rules or guidance that can ever prepare you for what it means to commit to another person and choose to be family. Through thick and thin we have continually found our way back to each other and have chosen one another. Cheers to us, I love you.”
We can only imagine just how traumatic Alba’s kidnapping was for her. While it’s unlikely, we can only hope that her kidnapping is solved someday, and that the perpetrators are apprehended!
