The legendary action star Chuck Norris was just rushed to the hospital in Hawaii after suffering from a medical emergency.

Norris Rushed To Hospital

Sources told TMZ that the incident occurred within the last 24 hours on the island of Kauai. Though few details are available at this time, whatever went down was serious enough to prompt the 86 year-old icon to seek medical attention immediately.

Insiders said that despite what has happened, Norris is in “good spirits.” The incident unfolded incredibly quickly, as Norris had been training on the island just one day before it occurred.

A friend who spoke to Norris over the phone said that the action star is upbeat, and is even cracking jokes from his hospital bed. Daily Mail has reached out to Norris for comment, but he has yet to respond at the time of this writing.

Norris celebrated his 86th birthday last week on March 10. He marked the occasion by taking to Instagram to share a video of himself taking part in a grueling training session.

“I don’t age. I level up,” Norris wrote in the caption. “I’m 86 today! Nothing like some playful action on a sunny day to make you feel young.”

“I’m grateful for another year, good health and the chance to keep doing what I love,” he continued. “Thank you all for being the best fans in the world. Your support through the years has meant more to me than you’ll ever know.”

The former Walker Texas Ranger star signed off his post by writing, “God Bless, Chuck Norris.”

Norris’ Passion For Health

Norris has long been open about his passion for health. Indeed, his devotion to staying fit has always made him feel much younger than his actual age.

“I’m grateful to feel strong, healthy and energized,” Norris told The Healthy in 2023. “I don’t see age as a reason to slow down. If anything, it’s given me the chance to renew my commitment to fitness and nutrition.”

“For me, my values are freedom, family, fitness, faith, and fight,” he continued. “Prioritizing fitness and nutrition allows me to be more active with my loved ones, and a healthy body will offer me many happy years with them.”

Norris went on to talk about his passion for making exercise a family affair.

“Exercising with my family is a meaningful experience; my children are just as passionate about martial arts as I am,” he gushed. “They are incredibly talented, too. So, engaging with your friends and family in these physical activities is another piece of my ‘wisdom’ for longevity. I’ve always said, ‘A family that trains together stays together.'”

Norris In Mourning

Meanwhile, this comes just a few months after Norris suffered a devastating loss back in December. It was that month that his ex-wife Dianne Holechek, who he was married to for over 30 years, died after a lengthy battle with dementia.

Though they had been divorced since 1989, Norris and Holechek remained extremely close. He was left devastated by her death.

“I am deeply saddened to share that my ex-wife, Dianne, has passed away,” Norris told Fox News at the time. “After being married for 30 years, we were able to find a way to remain close friends, and those years of friendship meant the world to me.”

“Dianne was an incredible person,” he continued. “She was kind, intelligent and lived life to the fullest. Her presence in my life will never be forgotten. She was also a loving and devoted mother to our sons, Mike and Eric, who were always her greatest pride.”

“Even as our lives took different directions, we continued to care deeply for one another, and I will forever cherish the memories we built together,” Norris concluded.

This has clearly been a very difficult time for Norris. Please join us in saying a prayer for him as he fights for his own health.

God bless you, Chuck Norris!
