The actor Chris Pratt is speaking out to praise military veterans, saying that they are the hardest workers in Hollywood.

Pratt Praises Military Veterans

Pratt, 46, praised the former Navy SEALs that he works with on his show The Terminal List. According to Pratt, they are able to “get [expletive] done.”

“Our room is populated with a bunch of veterans,” Pratt explained while appearing on “Literally! With Rob Lowe.” “We’ve got people in front of the camera, behind the camera who are all veterans. They work, man. And that, the pipeline of like going from military to the film and television industry is — it’s such a great outlet for these guys.”

“Cause they are just like, they just get [expletive] done,” he continued. “You know? If you ask, ‘Hey handle this.’ They’re like, ‘Got it.’ You don’t have to follow up the next day. And they’re not like, ‘Oh, actually, it’s kind of like, I think stuff’s going on. Like, first of all, you have to understand what happened.’ It’s like, ‘No, they just get [expletive] done.’ It’s amazing.”

On The Terminal List, Pratt stars as James Reece, a highly trained U.S. Navy SEAL lieutenant commander. He additionally executive produces the show, which airs on Amazon Prime.

Pratt Doubles Down

Pratt went on to talk about how impressive it was to watch the former Navy SEALs use their training and skills in the entertainment industry.

“What they’re capable of doing, it’s very specific and kind of narrow in terms of application,” Pratt explained. “Unless you’re gonna go do private security for somebody where you need to be on your toes and be willing and capable of delivering lethal force to protect something.”

“To see them using their training — but in service of art — it’s been amazing to see this sort … this catharsis,” he added. “Because these are guys who have millions of dollars worth of training pumped into each one of them. And then to put that training into making actors know how to handle weapons systems [and] move properly.”

Pratt’s Previous Comments

This isn’t the first time that Pratt has praised the military veterans working on The Terminal List.

“We’ve got a really fantastic team of executive producers that are former Navy Seals, former Army Rangers and a bunch of men and women who have retired and transitioned over into the film and television industry,” Pratt said last summer. “Which is, by the way, a fantastic avenue for these folks. Super service driven. Work really hard. It’s a really nice fit. It’s been great for everybody.”

Pratt initially rose to fame starring in the comedy television series Parks and Recreation alongside Amy Poehler. In 2014, he entered the movie world by starring in the action movie Guardians of the Galaxy.

In the years since then, Pratt has become one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. Indeed, he’s appeared in hit movies like Jurassic World, Passengers, Moneyball, Zero Dark Thirty and The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

In the radically liberal world of Hollywood, it’s rare to find a celebrity who actually respects military veterans. That’s what makes Pratt’s latest comments so refreshing.

God bless you, Chris Pratt!
