In the increasingly liberal world of entertainment, it’s rare to find a celebrity that is brave enough to show their patriotism these days. That’s why it came as such a welcome surprise when the country music star Carrie Underwood just stepped up to do just that!
Underwood Showcases Patriotic Display
Underwood, 43, took to Instagram last week to share a powerful video of a display of American flags near her home in Tennessee.
“I can’t believe I get to live here. Thank you, Lord. #GodBlessAmerica #Grateful #TN,” the former American Idol winner wrote alongside a video showing American flags displayed across a large fence on the length of a rural property.
Check out the touching video for yourself below.
Social media users were quick to praise Underwood for showing her patriotism in this way. One fan even said that the video “actually brought tears to my eyes. So patriotic. “
“I feel the same way! Thank You, Lord for bringing us here,” a second fan commented. A third wrote, “Beautiful and patriotically stunning! So proud.”
“Oh my gosh. I hope others that served like me get to see this post,” added another social media user. “If those flags reflect your appreciation for your freedom, that display makes the stuff I’ve experienced a little less painful. Thank you, Carrie. Thanks to Mike and the boys, too.”
This was a reference to Underwood’s former professional hockey player husband Mike Fisher and their two young sons.
Underwood Performs At Trump’s Inauguration
This isn’t the first time that Underwood has proudly shown her patriotism. Indeed, in January of 2025, she stepped up to perform “America the Beautiful” in the United States Capitol Rotunda during the inauguration of President Donald Trump.
“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event,” Underwood told Fox News at the time. “I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”
Some liberals like The View co-host Joy Behar slammed Underwood for agreeing to perform at Trump’s inauguration. The “God Bless The USA” singer Lee Greenwood, however, rushed to Underwood’s defense.
“She will do a great job singing at the Capitol with ‘America the Beautiful,” Underwood said at the time.
“I’ll sing before the President takes his oath,” he continued. “She will sing after. And just the moment will be magic. For those people who have something negative to say, I say keep it to yourself. Don’t attack a friend of mine who is here for the same reason as I am to inaugurate the 47th President of the United States.”
Underwood’s History
Underwood skyrocketed to fame when she won season four of American Idol back in 2005. She has since won eight Grammy Awards and sold over 22.5 million albums in the United States alone. Underwood’s career has come full-circle, as she is now a judge on American Idol. She replaced Katy Perry as a judge on the beloved singing competition in 2025.
We applaud Underwood for having the courage to showcase her love for America to the world in a time when celebrities seem to be more unpatriotic than ever. If only we had more stars in the entertainment world like her.
God bless you, Carrie Underwood!
