Candace Cameron Bure of Full House and Fuller House fame has long been one of the only openly devout Christians in Hollywood. The entertainment world hasn’t exactly been known for being very accepting of proud Christians as of late.
According to Cameron Bure, however, that might now be changing. In a new interview, Cameron Bure is speaking out to claim that her fellow religious stars are becoming “less afraid” of any consequences that may come from being open about their strong Christian faith.
Hollywood Christians Are ‘Less Afraid’
“I feel like people are just a little less afraid of being canceled now that they can share their faith openly or whatever their opinions are [even] if they’re not congruent with some other people’s opinions,” Cameron Bure, 48, told Fox News last week.
“And, so, I love seeing this in our country, and I’m hopeful,” she added. “I’m very hopeful.”
Cameron Bure and many of her fellow Hollywood stars are leaning on their faith more than ever right now. Indeed, the actress went on to talk about the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. The blazes ripped through the Altadena and Pacific Palisades neighborhoods last month.
“It’s been so hard, and I have so many friends that lived in the Palisades that lost their homes….it’s going to be a journey, it’s going to be a long time for recovery,” lamented Cameron Bure, who lived in the Pacific Palisades for over 30 years. “In the meantime, the community has come together, and we’re all doing what we can to help.”
“Even though I’m not in Los Angeles right now, I’m filming a movie. I’m still in touch with everyone, still have a store that’s open to gather great items for our families that have lost everything,” she continued. “And we’re going to continue to do that. I think that’s the beauty about a community, and Los Angeles has really come together to help.”
Cameron Bure’s Faith-Based Movies
Over the past few years, Cameron Bure has prioritized making faith-based movies. In a recent interview, she was asked why she’s made this career choice.
“My faith is everything to me,” she simply replied.
Cameron Bure went on to say that while the Christians have been “underserved” in terms of film and television content, she’s hopeful that this is changing.
“It’s so encouraging to see more inspiring stories being told,” Cameron Bure told Christian Post back in November. “I continue to look for inspiring stories, and we’re going to continue to create them and put them on the big screen and the small screen.”

Cameron Bure’s Faith Influences Her Career
One month before that, Cameron Bure opened up about how her faith has influenced her Hollywood career.
“My faith is the cornerstone of who I am,” Cameron Bure explained to Parade. “It’s where my worldview comes from. I value the Bible so very much as the blueprint or the guide for my life, and it’s not something that I can leave at the doorstep.”
“So that has been an incredible guiding light in my life, but it’s also seeped into every aspect of my life,” she added. “I’m really proud of it.”
Hollywood has been ignoring Christians for far too long. We can only hope that Cameron Bure is right, and that the tide is finally turning.
God bless you, Candace Cameron Bure!
