The former Full House star Candace Cameron Bure just celebrated her 50th birthday on Monday, April 6. To mark the occasion, Cameron Bure gave an interview in which she admitted that she apologizes to her husband, the former professional hockey player Valeri Bure, “so much” for oversharing about their sex life throughout their 29-year marriage.
‘I’m Sorry…’
“I apologize so much. I come home and I’m like, ‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry,’” Cameron Bure told US Weekly “You put out certain clips to promote the podcast, but then there’s always clips that just pop up that you didn’t approve. They seem so wild because they’re out of context of a 45 minute conversation, and you’re just like, it made sense in the conversation. But why did I share that? Why did I share that? Because it just became a headline, and so I just apologize all the time, and he’s very forgiving.”
Cameron Bure and Bure are preparing to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary in June of this year. Though they’ve been together for decades, Cameron Bure insists that their relationship is more “magical” than ever.
“I don’t want to call it the golden years, because that just sounds old,” Cameron Bure said with a laugh. “[It] sounds like The Golden Bachelor or something. But it is magical. It’s just such a blessing to be with someone, gosh, since we were teenagers. I mean, that’s what’s crazy. And to love him even more today than I did back then, I didn’t know was possible. So, it’s so beautiful.”
‘I Want To Love Harder…’
Cameron Bure went on to say that the biggest lesson that she’s learned after thirty years of marriage is that “it’s all about the love.”
“I want to love harder. That’s my biggest lesson for all people, but especially my husband,” the former Fuller House star confessed. “I think that sometimes we’re so comfortable with our spouse, with our kids, with our mom and dad, that sometimes they’re the people that get the brunt of our bad days, and we forget that they’re the ones that are there with us every moment of every good day and bad day. And so I just want to remember to love harder.”
Cameron Bure and Bure are parents to three adult children: Natasha, 27, Lev, 26, and Maksim, 24. In September of last year, Natasha married the former Disney Channel star, Bradley Steven Perry. As Cameron Bure gave this interview, she was preparing to have her entire family over for Easter. Indeed, she made it clear that she could not be more excited about this.
“It’s a mom’s dream. It is the best. I’m literally waiting for Natasha and Bradley to get here, and it makes me cry,” Cameron Bure said. “I’m not going to boo hoo on this interview, but I think about it, and I just turn into just puddles of tears, because I love my family so much. So being all together, all three of my kids, my son in law, my daughter in law with my husband is like, nothing better than that.”
In the crazy world of Hollywood, it’s rare to find a marriage that actually stands the test of time. That’s what makes Cameron Bure’s marriage with Bure so special.
We’d like to wish the Bures a very happy early anniversary, and many more to come!
