The world is still in shock over the assassination of the conservative activist Charlie Kirk. He was tragically shot dead on Wednesday while speaking at Utah Valley University. Kirk was only 31 years-old. At the time of this writing, his killer is still on the loose, with a manhunt currently underway.
Hollywood is known for being notoriously liberal these days. That’s why it’s sadly come as no surprise that Kirk’s death has been met with deafening silence from many Hollywood stars.
Cameron Bure And Pratt Honor Kirk
Thankfully, the actors Candace Cameron Bure and Chris Pratt are defying the leftwing world of Hollywood to lead the charge in honoring Kirk after his violent murder.
Cameron Bure, 49, took to Instagram to share a photo of Kirk. She included the caption, “We love you Charlie. Well done good and faithful servant.”
Pratt, 46, took to social media immediately after Kirk was shot to call for prayers for the young man. At the time, it still appeared as if there was a chance that he could pull through.
“Praying for Charlie Kirk right now, for his wife and young children, for our country,” Pratt wrote. “We need God’s grace. God help us.”
This was a reference to Kirk’s wife Erika, whom he married in 2021. They share a 3 year-old daughter and a 16 month-old son.
Jason And Brittany Aldean Pay Tribute To Kirk
Other stars have since followed Cameron Bure and Pratt’s lead by paying their own tributes to Kirk.
The country music star Jason Aldean, 48, took to his Instagram to post a photo of himself and his wife Brittany, 37, with Kirk.
“It’s been a hard day not only in our family, but all over the country,” he wrote. “Charlie Kirk was one of the kindest, smartest and bravest people I’ve ever met. I’m honored to have met and spoke with him on a few occasions.”
“He was a man of peace and wanted nothing but the best for our country and its youth,” Aldean continued. “We might have lost Charlie today but what he has done will live on forever. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, kids and the entire Kirk family.”
Meanwhile, Brittany paid tribute to Kirk on her own Instagram page.
“This is a heartbreak so many of us will never get over,” she wrote. “Charlie was a father, husband, son, friend and so much more. One of the most intelligent people we’ve ever met, fighting for everything right in this world. He put everything on the line to be a voice for those who weren’t able. I admired him.”
More Stars Honor Kirk
Kid Rock, 54, took to his Instagram Story to write, “God Bless Charlie Kirk. A true PATRIOT. Pray for him.”
Kid Rock also re-shared a photo of himself with Kirk at Donald Trump’s inauguration back in January.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, 78, honored Kirk’s memory on X.
“My heart is with Charlie Kirk’s family, and with the United States. Politics has become a disease in this country, and it’s deadly,” Schwarzenegger wrote. “But don’t listen to the pessimists who say there is no cure. There is a cure. It is inside of us.”
“We must find our better angels and walk back from the extremes,” he added. “If we can’t agree on anything else, we must find agreement that we don’t solve our debates with violence. This is a horrible tragedy. May it also be a moment for everyone to rediscover their humanity.”
Pat Boone, 91, told Fox News that Kirk was “a true modern hero.”
“Charlie Kirk was, and will always be, an Apostle, just like Peter, James and John in the Bible…a messenger with a vital, soul-shaping and life-saving message,” Boone said. “He served the same Lord unabashedly and courageously and effectively, scattering precious seed everywhere he went.”
“His message, one of joyous and lasting victory, his love even for those who disagreed, was evident and contagious,” he continued. “And his reward, though too soon — ‘to be absent from the body and present with His Lord.’ 2 Corinthians 5:8 A true modern hero.”
We applaud these celebrities for stepping up to honor Kirk in the way that he deserves. What happened to Kirk was horrifying, and should be universally condemned regardless of politics.
Please join us in saying a prayer for Kirk’s family and friends. Rest in peace, Charlie Kirk.
