The golf legend Tiger Woods was arrested for DUI on Friday, March 27. Shocking police body camera footage has since been released showing his arrest.
Now, Caitlyn Jenner, the Olympic gold-medal-winning decathlete and media personality, is speaking out to slam Woods in the wake of his arrest. Indeed, according to Jenner, Woods “needs to get humble.”
Jenner Sounds Off
Woods, 50, flipped over his Land Rover twice near his home in Jupiter, Florida. He has since been hit with charges of driving under the influence with property damage and refusal to submit to a blood alcohol level (BAL) test.
While appearing on OutKick’s Tomi Lahren Is Fearless, Jenner was asked for her opinion on Woods’ arrest.
“I look at Tiger and I saw what happened, and I just think he needs to get humble,” said Jenner, 76. “Go to a recovery place, recover, clean himself up, and get back to being Tiger.”
Woods is indeed currently in rehab in Switzerland. Jenner went on to say that the public is rooting for him in a big way.
“People love a comeback story. And what a comeback that could be if he could do that,” Jenner continued. “He’s had so many health issues over the years, and injuries and back pain, and this and that. It’s a vicious cycle downhill, but you can [come back]. But it has to be done professionally. You have to go to a place that can help you out.”
“I think Tiger’s a good person. He’s not a bad person. He’s a great person,” the former Olympian added. “And he wants to do good. He just has to get his life straightened out and get back to doing what he loves is playing golf.”
“So, yeah, I wish him nothing but the best,” Jenner concluded. “He’s not a bad person. He’s a good person. It’s just that I think he’s in a bad place because of all the pain and everything that he’s been through. Yeah. And I wish them the best, but he needs professional help to do that.”
Woods Breaks His Silence
Days after his arrest, Woods issued a statement pledging to seek help with handling his prescription medication.
“I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today,” Woods said. “I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery.”
“I’m committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger and more focused place, both personally and professionally,” he concluded. “I appreciate your understanding and support, and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time.”
President Trump Defends Woods
President Donald Trump himself has also spoken out to defend Woods.
“He tested negative for alcohol, as you know, he is under a tremendous physical pressure from his various ailments, you know, the back and the leg,” Trump said. “He doesn’t have an alcohol problem, but he does have pain.”
This has clearly been an extremely difficult time for Woods. Please join us in saying a prayer for Woods’ recovery!
