It’s been two years since the Hollywood star Bruce Willis revealed to the world that he had been diagnosed with dementia. Now, insiders close to the former Die Hard star are revealing that he is “going downhill fast” as his grueling dementia battle continues.

Bruce ‘Is Going Downhill Fast’

Last week, Bruce’s wife Emma Heming Willis shocked fans when she revealed that the actor has been moved into a separate one-story home away from their primary residence. There, Bruce lives with a round-the-clock care team.

“He is going downhill fast,” a family insider told Daily Mail. This source added that Bruce “doesn’t know some faces” anymore.

The insider went on to say that Bruce’s five daughters “are all spending as much time with him as they can.”

“He lights up when he sees his children,” the source continued.

When it comes to Emma’s decision to move Bruce to another home, the source claimed that “There is no drama.”

“The whole family like and support the way she is looking after Bruce,” the insider explained. “They feel he is very well taken care of. They’re all dedicated to making his quality of life as good as possible.”

‘Bruce Won’t Be The Same Again…’

According to the source, taking care of Bruce is a “massive undertaking” these days.

“It is dire because Bruce won’t be the same again,” said a second insider. “Occasionally there are flashes of who he used to be, whether it is a smile or a laugh or other gestures, and everyone appreciates having those moments.”

“Now when anyone is with him, they all enjoy their time together and don’t make it into a sad thing,” that source concluded. “They’ll dance, watch TV, have dinner together. Everyone is making the best of it considering the circumstances.”

Emma, 47, married Bruce, 70, back in 2009. They are parents to daughters Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11. In her interview with Diane Sawyer that aired last week, Emma revealed that her daughters visit Bruce “a lot.” They even typically have both breakfast and dinner with him.

“We have a way of communicating with him that is just a different, a different way, but I’m grateful,” she said. “I’m grateful that my husband is still very much here.”

Demi Moore Weighs In

Bruce also shares daughters Rumer, 37, Scout, 34, and Tallulah, 31, with his ex-wife Demi Moore, 62. They were married from 1987 until they divorced in 2000, but they remain close friends. Earlier this year, Demi admitted that she’s seen a “shift” in Bruce’s personality since his dementia diagnosis. She said that it’s “difficult… to see somebody who was so vibrant and strong and so directed shift into this other parts of themself.”

“But… I really always say it’s so important just to meet them where they’re at,” Demi added. “Don’t have an expectation of them needing to be who they were or who you want them to be. And when you do that I find that there is an incredible sweetness and something that’s soft and tender and loving. Perhaps it is more playful and childlike in certain sense because of how much more caretaking they need.”

This is clearly a very tragic situation for Bruce and his entire family. Please join us in saying a prayer for them!
