Brooke Hogan, the estranged daughter of the late wrestling great Hulk Hogan, shocked the world this week by comparing the pop star Taylor Swift to the “devil.”
Brooke Slams Taylor
Last Friday, Taylor released her latest album “The Life of a Showgirl.” Afterwards, Brooke took to Instagram to blast both Taylor and the album in a post that has since been deleted. Indeed, Brooke went so far as to say that Taylor’s album is proof that “the devil is working through music and television.”
“Literally changed the F word in a song because I had the thought of: ‘What if kids listen to this?'” wrote Brooke, 37. “After BRIEFLY listening to a new release by a very popular female artist, I’m convinced the devil is working through music and television.”
“It’s beyond a cuss word. It’s a curse, it’s spells. Don’t be a sheep. Guard your gates,” she continued. “Protect your children.”

‘The Last Showgirl’ Backlash
Unfortunately for Taylor, 35, Brooke is far from the only person who feels negatively about “The Last Showgirl.” Indeed, many of Taylor’s own fans feel let down by the quality of the album as well. Kaeli Dance, a 26-year-old content creator, told USA Today that some fans are “definitely disappointed.”
“But they would have been disappointed regardless of how good each song is just because it is unfamiliar,” she added.
“Fans are very shocked when Taylor says anything that contradicts the image of her they have built up in their heads,” Dance explained. “At this point, the idea of Taylor Swift looms much larger than the actual person and they believe they understand her because of their devotion to her music. When in reality, I donât think many people know her deeply at all.”
Brooke Cut Out Of Hulk’s Will
Brooke’s comments come just over two months after the death of her father. Hulk died on July 24 at the age of 71. While his cause of death was officially ruled as a heart attack, police are still investigating it at the time of this writing.
Afterwards, it was revealed that Brooke had been cut out of Hulk’s will completely. Last month, Brooke claimed that she knew this was coming, as she had asked Hulk to leave her out of his will, which left around $5 million in assets to his beneficiaries.
“His decision is no surprise to me,” Brooke told TMZ at the time. “It’s what I asked for, I stand by it with no regrets. My dad knows I’m a hard worker and I have been surviving without his money for a long, long time.”
Brooke went on to allege that she’s been supporting herself through her own work. She also said that when it came to her relationship with her father, money never mattered to her.
Brooke Honors Hulk
At the time of Hulk’s passing, he and Brooke had been estranged for years. Despite this, Brooke still took to Instagram to pay tribute to her father days after his passing.
“My dad’s blood runs through my veins. His eyes shine through my children. And our bond has never broken, not even in his final moments,” Brooke wrote five days after Hulk’s death.
Later in her post, Brooke opened up about how difficult her father’s passing has been for her, even after their estrangement.
âWhen he left this earth, it felt like part of my spirit left with him. I felt it before the news even reached us,â she stated. âHe used to remind me, âAll of this is temporary and Iâll always find my way back to you.â I truly believe that â we will find each other in every lifetime.â
âI know heâs at peace now, out of pain, and in a place as beautiful as he imagined. He used to speak about this moment with such wonder and hope. Like meeting God was the greatest championship heâd ever have,” Brooke added. “His hugs were my home. Wrapping my arms around him always made me feel like his little girl, even as I grew up.”
Brooke’s ‘World Is Forever Changed’
âAll I ever wanted from my father was love, honesty and a deep connection,â Brooke subsequently concluded. âAnd for a few special years, I had that â with memories that will last a lifetime. My world is forever changed. But Iâm deeply blessed with a loving husband and two beautiful children who remind me every day of lifeâs greatest gifts. Iâm deeply grateful for the love, tributes, and memorials from his fans and friends. His life was one worth celebrating â and always will be.”

Since Brooke deleted her post about Taylor, it appears that she may regret it. Either that, or Brooke couldn’t handle the heat from the legions of Swifties who defend Taylor at every turn. Regardless, it appears that Brooke will be thinking twice before she messes with Taylor again!
