Britney Spears was reportedly seen causing a chaotic scene at a Los Angeles restaurant on Wednesday night.
This came one week after she plead guilty to her DUI charge last week. She was subsequently sentenced to twelve months of probation. It also came after Spears left a Maine rehab facility, which she’d checked into after her arrest.
Spears Causes Scene At Restaurant
Multiple witnesses told TMZ that they saw Spears, 44, at the Blue Dog Tavern in Sherman Oaks, California last night. They said that Spears was sitting at a corner table with a man and a woman. According to these sources, the scene turned erratic fast, with Spears raising her voice, screaming, and even barking at times.
The witnesses described the scene as being chaotic and “kind of sad.” However, they added that Spears still looked cute.
One witness said that Spears walked by their table holding a knife at a certain point in the night. This sparked fears that the “Oops I Did It Again” singer might stab someone. The witness expressed their belief that Spears may have just forgotten to put the knife down when leaving her table.
Restaurant staffers finally intervened when Spears lit a cigarette inside. Indeed, they reportedly asked one of Spears’ companions to have her put the cigarette out.
Spears’ Messy Behavior Escalates
The sources went on to say that Spears ordered a burger and fries. However, she barely ate. Instead, she simply picked at the fries. Most of Spears’ food was left behind uneaten along with what looked to be orange juice.
Spears and the man that she was with were allegedly feeding each other during their meal. She told him “I love you” at one point, though it is unclear if she was being serious or just being playful.
One guest said that after Spears left, she left behind a messy scene. In fact, the area under her table looked “like a toddler had been there,” according to this source.
Spears was taken home by security when she left the restaurant. Afterwards, the other guests said that something like this could “only happen in L.A.“
This came days after Spears took to Instagram on Saturday to post a photo of herself holding a baby snake. In the caption, she opened up about being on a “spiritual journey.”
“Went to the pet store with my kids and look at what what a beautiful baby snake this is,” Spears wrote. “Snakes are symbolic of good health, higher consciousness, and pure luck.”
“I’m so [expletive] thankful to my friends and so many new beautiful people I have met through my spiritual journey… all a blessing in disguise,” she continued. “I still have to learn how to be kind to myself and the way I speak to myself… It’s a never ending journey and sometimes I just stop, look up and say wow God I think that was you and smile on!!!!”
Spears’ Arrest
Spears was arrested in California on Wednesday, March 4. She was then booked for allegedly driving under the influence. Records obtained by Fox News show that Spears was released the next morning at 6:07 a.m.
Spears was officially charged with DUI on Thursday, April 30. In the filing, the Ventura County District Attorney said that Spears committed the alleged misdemeanor “unlawfully, while under the combined influence of any alcoholic beverage and drug, drive a vehicle.”
Spears did not appear at the Ventura Superior Court for her sentencing on Monday, May 4. Instead, she was represented by her attorney, Michael A. Goldstein.
“Through her plea today, Britney has accepted responsibility for her conduct,” Goldstein said after the hearing. “She has taken significant steps to implement positive change which is clearly reflected in the Ventura County District Attorney’s decision to reduce the charge in this case and dismiss the DUI.”
“Britney appreciates this discretion and is also grateful for the outpouring of support she has received,” he added.
Spears was sentenced to 12 months of probation and one day in jail, which was credited as time served. She was also fined $571.00. On top of that, Spears must attend a three-month DUI program, see a psychologist once a week and a psychiatrist twice a month. Her vehicle has additionally been authorized to be searched for drugs and alcohol.
