It’s been a decade since Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from her fellow Hollywood A-lister Brad Pitt in 2016.
A bitter battle followed that stretched out for eight long years, with their divorce not being finalized until December of 2024. To this day, Jolie and Pitt are still battling each other in court over their French vineyard, Château Miraval.
Now, insiders are claiming that Pitt has just gotten the ultimate revenge over Jolie as their bitter split continues to unfold.
Pitt’s Revenge On Jolie
Last month, Pitt’s movie F1, which he both starred in and produced, was nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars. Though it lost that award to One Battle After Another, Pitt is still walking away a big winner. Indeed, Pitt, 62, is about to take home a whopping $100 million two-movie payday after getting a deal green-lit for the sequel.
“It’s mind-boggling what has happened with F1, where it became the most financially successful film of his career and a Best Picture Oscar nominee, and now the sequel is being planned out and written and things are moving very, very fast,” an insider told Radar Online.
“This is nothing short of a massive windfall for everybody involved. And it puts Brad within spitting distance of billionaire status, if he isn’t firmly there already,” the source added.
Jolie Fuming
Jolie, 50, is reportedly incredibly jealous of the success that Pitt has been enjoying as of late. She’s especially frustrated that he’s still trying to stop her $67 million sale of her share of Château Miraval.
“It bugs Angelina that Brad has money to burn while she has to be a whole lot more cautious,” the source claimed. “Yes, he paid his share of child support and still does in the case of his younger kids. But her daily costs are astronomical and as wealthy as she is, there’s a lot of pressure on Angie to balance the books.”
“It hasn’t helped that her career has been somewhat stagnating. At least as far as her earning power,” the insider continued. “The days of her routinely commanding $15 million and upwards are few and far between, so she’s needed to dip into her savings for a lot of these bills, whereas Brad’s got no such problem.”
Despite all of this, Pitt reportedly has no intention of backing down.
“He’s said from the start that it’s his duty to see this through and expose her and the way she acted, so the world can see that he was truly wronged,” the source stated.
Pitt recently asked a Los Angeles judge to force Yuri Shefler, who owns the Stoli Group, to appear for a remote deposition. The star claims that Shefler, 58, orchestrated the sale of Jolie’s share. Pitt alleges that the sale violated a “mutual understanding” between the exes that neither would sell without the other’s consent.
“Brad wants all her enablers to be held accountable, too,” the insider concluded. “Brad swears this guy is key to his argument that Angie went behind his back.”
Pitt And Jolie’s History
Pitt and Jolie met on the set of the 2005 movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith. At the time, Pitt was still married to the former Friends star Jennifer Aniston. They soon split and he immediately began dating Jolie.
Pitt and Jolie went on to marry in 2014 in a ceremony at their winery in rural France. Jolie then filed for divorce just over two years later in 2016. She filed for divorce days after an alleged altercation on a private jet flight. There, Jolie alleges that Pitt was abusive to her and their six children. It is believed that most if not all of the children are estranged from Pitt to this day.
They say that the best revenge is living well, and it seems like that’s exactly what Pitt is doing. Unfortunately for Jolie, it doesn’t seem like Pitt’s streak of success will be ending anytime soon. Only time will tell how much longer their latest court battle stretches on!
