Last month, we reported that the Hollywood star Brad Pitt had scored a major legal victory over his ex-wife Angelina Jolie in their ongoing legal battle over their French vineyard Château Miraval. This victory came when a judge ruled that Jolie must turn over a slew of secret text and email messages that are related to their brutal legal war over the winery.

Now, insiders that Jolie “may regret digging her heels in” during this legal fight against Pitt in the wake of his latest win.

Jolie May Have Regrets

On December 17, a judge granted Pitt’s motion to compel Jolie, 50, to “produce in full” within 45 days documents with “unredacted versions of the communications exchanged between non-attorneys.” This includes her business manager as well as various trusted aides.

Jolie’s legal team had spent months trying to stop this. In October, her attorney Paul Murphy argued that Pitt’s “motion is without any legal basis and the latest manifestation of his efforts to control Angelina. We expect the Court will see right through this and deny his motion.

Unfortunately for Jolie, however, the judge ruled in Pitt’s favor on this, giving him a major win in their legal battle. In the wake of this humiliating loss, Jolie might finally regret taking things this far.

“It’s amazing that all these years later, they’re still fighting,” said one source.

“Some say Angelina is the reason the war has raged on, but now she may regret digging in her heels,” the insider added. “Her private emails and texts could prove very damning.”

Pitt is currently suing Jolie for allegedly illegally selling her share of the vineyard to the Stoli Group back in 2021. The former couple bought the vineyard together in 2008 for $28.4 million.

In a filing back in February of 2025, Pitt alleged that he and Jolie agreed not to sell their shares without consulting one other. They had reportedly planned to raise their six children on the vineyard. Their ultimate goal was allegedly to turn it into a family business.

Pitt and Jolie met on the set of the 2005 movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith. At the time, Pitt was still married to the former Friends star Jennifer Aniston. They soon split and he immediately began dating Jolie.

Pitt and Jolie went on to marry in 2014 in a ceremony at their winery in rural France. Jolie then filed for divorce just over two years later. Jolie filed for divorce days after an alleged altercation on a private jet flight. There, Jolie alleges that Pitt was abusive to her and their six children.

Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in 2016. However, it wasn’t until December of 2024 that the divorce was actually finalized. Unfortunately, their court battles are still not over as they continue fighting it out over their French winery.

All six of Pitt and Jolie’s children appear to have taken her side. It is believed that they are all estranged from Pitt these days.

A trial date for Pitt and Jolie in their latest legal battle has been set for February 1, 2027. Mediation has been ordered for October 28, 2026. Only time will tell if Jolie decides to throw in the towel, or if she ultimately decides this is still worth pursuing.
