Over the past few weeks, rumors have been swirling that the country music star Blake Shelton and his singer wife Gwen Stefani are heading for divorce. Now, insiders are finally speaking out to address these rumors head-on.
‘There Is No Truth To…’
“There is no truth to the split rumors. They’ve just been juggling demanding schedules,” a source close to Stefani told People Magazine. “When they are together, it’s just so obvious how solid they are.”
“Sometimes they spend a lot of family time together and really treasure that, and then there are periods when the focus is more on work,” the insider continued. “They’re both at a place in their careers where they still genuinely enjoy what they do and they don’t want to give that up. Is it easy all the time? Of course not. They have a lot on their plates and a lot to balance, but that’s just how it is when you’re a family and both parents have careers.”
Both Shelton, 49, and Stefani, 56, had an extremely busy 2025. Shelton released his 13th studio album, For Recreational Use Only, in May. He went on to both executive produce and star in the CBS singing competition The Road. On top of that, Shelton is preparing to perform for eight nights at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas next month.
As for Stefani, she released a deluxe version of her album Bouquet back in March. She additionally recently announced that her band No Doubt will play six shows at the Sphere in Las Vegas in May of 2026.
When they aren’t focused on work, Stefani and Shelton are devoted parents. Indeed, they spend much of their time raising Stefani’s sons Kingston, 19, Zuma, 17, and Apollo, 11. They share the three boys with Stefani’s ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.
Shelton has always been a devoted stepfather to Stefani’s three sons. He and Stefani married in July of 2021 after six years of dating.
Shelton And Stefani Are Going ‘As Strong As Ever’
Another insider told US Weekly that Shelton and Stefani are “as strong as ever,” with their relationship being rooted in both family and faith.
“It’s rooted in the things that matter to them both. They are very devoted to each other,” this insider explained. “From the beginning of their relationship, they dealt with the obstacle of their careers taking them in different directions and having to spend time apart. But it’s a part of their lifestyle now. They make it work.”
While Shelton and Stefani need to travel a lot for work, they always reconnect in their “home base” of Oklahoma, according to this source.
“Then they spend quite a bit of time in California and then Las Vegas,” the insider stated. “Traveling back and forth is just part of the job at this point, and they’ve both been quite used to it for many years.”
Rumors swirled that Shelton and Stefani were heading for divorce when they didn’t attend the CMA Awards on November 19. This was puzzling to fans, as Stefani won the award for Musical Event of the Year for her collaboration with Post Malone on “Pour Me A Drink.”
Fans then noticed that Stefani hadn’t posted anything featuring Shelton since way back in June. She quickly responded to this by making sure that she and Shelton were photographed publicly. Find out more about that in the video below.
Stefani Shoots Down Split Rumors
Last week, however, Stefani shot down these rumors when she confirmed that she and Shelton will be spending the holidays together during an appearance on the TODAY show.
“We’re doing all the regular stuff,” Stefani said. She added that they’ll be splitting the holidays between their two homes in Oklahoma and California.
“Blake and I, we just bounce back and forth between Oklahoma constantly,” she continued. “This December, we’re going back there, and then we’re going to bounce back to [Los Angeles].”
According to Stefani, they also had two Thanksgivings: one in Oklahoma, and one in California.
“It’s been a blessing to be able to do that,” she admitted. “We’ll do more of the bouncing — back and forth … I love it. I love Oklahoma. This time of year is the best, so beautiful.”
We’re glad to see that despite rumors to the contrary, all appears to be well with Shelton and Stefani. We also wish them both many years of happiness together to come!
