The country music star Billy Ray Cyrus has been dating the actress Elizabeth Hurley of Austin Powers fame for over a year now. Earlier this week, Cyrus made it clear that they’re still going strong when he gushed over Hurley in a touching Instagram post.
Cyrus Gushes Over Hurley
Last Sunday, Cyrus, 64, and Hurley, 60, attended the Olivier Awards. There, they walked the red carpet together before Hurley presented an award. They were joined by Hurley’s 24 year-old son Damian.
Afterwards, Cyrus shared some photos from the big night on social media. In the caption, he praised Hurley in a big way.
“So proud of my beautiful girlfriend @elizabethhurley1 presenting last night @OlivierAwards,” Cyrus wrote. “The evening reminded me why I love our industry — and gave me the perfect excuse to wear the best birthday presents ever from Elizabeth & Damian.”
Hurley also shared some photos from her night to her own Instagram page.
“Honored to present Best New Musical last night at the Olivier Awards at the magnificent Royal Albert Hall,” Hurley wrote. “Now I’m longing to see the show that won- Paddington the Musical. A truly unforgettable evening, and a beautiful reminder of exactly why I love the theatre.”
Cyrus And Hurley Fall In Love
Cyrus and Hurley shocked the world when they went public with their relationship on Easter Sunday in April of 2025.
“I think people found Billy and I being together a little surprising,” Hurley admitted to Page Six one month later. “It’s not surprising to me because we’re actually quite similar and get on extremely well.”
“We both like to laugh a lot, and we both love the country,” she continued. “And we both love country music, both love movies. We’ve got a lot in common — and cowboy boots, definitely.”
Cyrus and Hurkey had previously met previously met when they worked together alongside the former Cheers star Kelsey Grammer on the 2022 romantic comedy Christmas in Paradise.
While they connected as friends on set, they lost touch once filming ended. It wasn’t until this year that things turned romantic for them.
“It’s just been beautiful,” Cyrus previously said of their relationship. He added that there are “no expectations of where we go from here other than her and her son. I do love him a lot, and it’s great that God brought them into my life when he did. It’s just a good thing. It’s been a long time since I’ve been this happy.”
Hurley Praises ‘Fabulous’ Cyrus
In an October of 2025 interview, Hurley could not help but gush over her “fabulous” boyfriend Cyrus.
“Billy Ray is fabulous. We’re very happy, very happy,” Hurley told The Sunday Times.
In fact, according to Hurley, things are going so well for them as a couple that her only issue with him involves grocery shopping! Indeed, the one thing that Hurley has banned Cyrus from doing with her is grocery shopping. Instead, they’ve developed their own system of how to handle getting things from the store.
“He stays in the car… Because he would be annoying,” Hurley said with a laugh.
If that’s your biggest problem as a couple, I’d say things are going pretty well!
Cyrus and Hurley are definitely two celebrities that nobody was expecting to fall in love. We’re so glad to see that one year after they revealed their relationship to the world, they’re still madly in love.
