Rumors have been swirling for months that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are headed for divorce after just two years of marriage. Now, insiders are claiming that Affleck’s ex-wife Jennifer Garner is “done playing marriage counselor” to them.
Affleck and Garner were married from 2005 until 2018.
Garner Tired Of Playing ‘Counselor’ For Affleck And Lopez
Insiders told Daily Mail that Garner initially tried to play “counselor” for Affleck and Lopez. At first, she was eager to help them work through their issues. That has since changed, however.
“Jen eventually got to a place where she was like, ‘Sorry, figure this out yourself,'” the insider alleged. “It was beginning to become too painful for her because it was bringing back so many memories of their divorce.”
Affleck had actually initially been engaged to Lopez before marrying Garner. Affleck and Lopez met in December of 2001 on the set of their movie Gigli. They became engaged the next year. However, they shocked fans by calling off their planned wedding in 2003 days before it was set to take place. Affleck would go on to marry Garner and have three children with her before they divorced.

‘It Is Not Jen’s Circus’
“Throughout their marriage there were times when Jen felt like she was second to JLo even though there was no communication between her and Ben for years,” the insider explained. “She was surprised at how public he became when they reunited because he was always a man who wanted to be out of the spotlight when they were married.”
“Jen opened up her home and her life to JLo because she had moved on from the past. She cares about JLo and cares about their kids and how it will affect all of them,” the source continued. “But in the end, it is not Jen’s circus, not Jen’s monkeys and she is done playing marriage counselor to her ex-husband and his wife.”
Garner’s rumored fiancé, businessman John Miller, 46, is reportedly tired of her trying to “fix” Affleck’s marriage to Lopez.

Lopez ‘Over’ Trying To Make Marriage To Affleck Work
As for Lopez, a third source said last week that she is “over” trying to save her marriage to Affleck.
“Jenny has had enough and she really tried but she can do no more, it’s not getting any better, it’s worse,” this music industry source told The Mail.
Lopez allegedly finds Affleck to be “grumpy and negative” like Oscar The Grouch from Sesame Street. The source added that Lopez is sad about the seeming end of her marriage. However, she “is trying to make the best of it by working out.” Lopez is also”spending time with her twins Max and Emme and making new plans for 2025.”
It’s always sad to see a couple divorce, particularly after such a short marriage. In the end, Garner may be smart in stepping back from playing marriage counselor to these two. It simply does not seem like their marriage can be saved!
