Over the past few months, rumors have been swirling that Barack and Michelle Obama are heading for divorce. These claims allege that Barack and Michelle have been living “separate lives” for quite some time.
On Sunday, Barack, 63, and Michelle, 61, were spotted together publicly for the first time in weeks. What Barack was seen doing for Michelle came as a shock to many, given the rampant divorce rumors.
Barack Spotted With Michelle
In a TikTok video that has quickly gone viral, Barack and Michelle can be seen leaving their Chicago residence. It opens with black SUVs and Secret Service agents waiting outside the home.
“You won’t believe who just walked out of this house… Captured in Chicago. Real moment,” the content creator wrote in a caption that flashed across the screen.
“SUVs are parked in front and Secret Service agents are moving around, getting everything ready,” the caption continued.
Finally, the front door opens, and Barack and Michelle walk out. A crowd of onlookers cheer as the former first couple waves. Much to everyone’s surprise, Barack performed an act of chivalry when they reached their black SUV. Indeed, the former president could be seen holding the door for Michelle as she stepped inside the vehicle.

Social Media Erupts In Response
This came as a shock to social media users everywhere. Not only have the Obamas been plagued by divorce rumors, but Michelle has used many of her IMO podcast episodes to complain about Barack as of late.
Social media users were quick to express their surprise in the comments section of the video.
“He STILL opens the door for her. What a class act,” one user commented. Another added, “I loved how he made sure Michelle got in first and safe! That’s a true gentleman.”
“And just like the gentleman he is, Obama made sure Michelle got into the vehicle first before going around to his seat, even with Secret Service agents holding the doors,” a third user wrote.

Obama Divorce Rumors
This comes after months of rumors that the Obamas are heading for divorce. These divorce rumors escalated back in January, when Michelle skipped both the funeral of Jimmy Carter and the inauguration of Donald Trump. Indeed, she was the only living former First Lady to miss both of these events.
“I have been hearing this rumor that the Obamas are getting a divorce by reputable people,” political commentator Meghan McCain said on reporter Tara Palmeri’s podcast back in January. “I’m not talking about TMZ, I’m not talking about Perez Hilton, although I love him, he’s my friend.”
“I’m talking about like very serious journalists telling me that they’re hearing that the Obama divorce rumors are true,” she added.
“We’ve heard that for a long time,” replied Tara, who has long covered Washington politics. “Like I just heard that they live separate lives.”

Michelle Accused Of ‘Really Disliking’ Barack
Michelle launched her IMO podcast with her brother Craig Robinson, 64, back in March. Since then, many have noticed that she’s frequently used episodes to complain about both Barack and the time they spent in the White House.
Last month, the former Fox News host Tucker Carlson claimed that Michelle “really dislikes her husband, and it’s super obvious.”
“I’m not just saying that to be catty,” Tucker explained. “I think I’m trying to feel compassion for her but her hostility toward the guy is unbelievable.”
Tucker’s fellow Fox News host Megyn Kelly was quick to agree. She pointed out that “everything Michelle says about her husband is negative.”
“I almost never say negative things about Doug,” Megyn added, referring to her husband Doug Brunt. “He’s not perfect but when I think about him, I don’t immediately go to whatever is negative. I go to what’s positive and what I love about him.”

Clearly, Barack is taking Michelle’s attacks on him in stride enough that he can still open doors for her…literally!
