The country music legend Alan Jackson has announced that he will be performing one final show in Nashville, Tennessee. This comes as health issues are tragically forcing Jackson to retire.
Jackson’s Final Show
Jackson, 66, has announced that “Last Call: One More for the Road – The Finale” will be the last show of his decades-long career. This show will take place on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium.
“It’s been a long road… and it’s taken me places I never imagined,” Jackson told People Magazine. “But I can’t think of a better place to put on a big show and give the fans a finale than in Nashville and include so many special friends.”
Joining Jackson for this show will be his fellow country music icons Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Riley Green, Cody Johnson, Jon Pardi, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and Lee Ann Womack. More names will reportedly be announced in the months to come.
“We just felt like we had to end it all where it all started for me, and that’s in Nashville — Music City — where country music lives,” added Jackson, who performed his last road show back in May.
Tickets Benefit A Good Cause
Presale tickets go on sale on October 15 at 11am. Tickets will then go on sale for the general public at 11am on October 17, which is Jackson’s 67th birthday.
A dollar from every ticket sold for this concert will be donated to the CMT Research Foundation. This organization funds research to find a cure for Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. Jackson revealed to the world that he had been diagnosed with this degenerative nerve condition back in September of 2021. At the time, Jackson had already been dealing with the condition for a decade.
Jackson decided to let “the fans and the public … know what’s going on” after the condition became noticeable during his performances.
“I don’t want them to think I’m drunk on stage because I’m having problems with mobility and balance. I have this neuropathy, neurological disease I inherited from my daddy,” Jackson explained at the time. “I’ve been reluctant to talk about this publicly, but it’s been a while, and it’s starting to affect my performance on stage a little bit where I don’t feel comfortable.”
“I just want people to know that’s why I look like I do, if they’re wondering,” he continued. “I don’t want to appear like some whiny celebrity. It’s not going to kill me, it’s not deadly… It’s not fatal — it’s just going to disable me eventually.”
Sadly, there is no cure for Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease at this time. However, the symptoms that come with the condition can be managed through therapy.
“There’s no cure for it, but it’s been affecting me for years,” Jackson told TODAY in 2021. “And it’s getting more and more obvious.”
Jackson’s Final Road Tour
Jackson managed to overcome this condition enough to embark on his Last Call: One More for the Road tour in June of 2022. When he ended this tour in May of this year, Jackson teased the upcoming final show of his storied career.
“We’re planning on doing a big finale show in Nashville next summer sometime. I just felt like I had to end it all where it all started, and that’s in Nashville, Tennessee,” he said onstage in Milwaukee on May 17. “I’ve got to do my last one there. But this is the last one out on the road for me.”
Jackson is a true living legend, and there will never be another one like him. While we’re sad that Jackson is retiring, we also can’t wait to see how his final show goes.
God bless you, Alan Jackson!
