Now that the Hollywood strike is over and done with, many projects that were put on hold are finally actually being made.

And this one is a no-brainer: Isn’t it about time there was a Bruce Springsteen movie?

The Making of ‘Nebraska’

Who will play The Boss? Jeremy Allen White of The Bear is being reported as the choice for the lead role, and Jeremy Strong of Succession is said to be a lock in playing Springsteen’s manager, Jon Landau.

The reported title is Deliver Me from Nowhere.

Springsteen has obviously had a long and storied career, leaving some to wonder if the movie would be a sweeping rock documentary of the bulk of his career.

It will not.

Instead, the project is designed to focus on the creation of Springsteen’s Nebraska album, considered by many critics to one of the most honest and emotional albums in history. Released in 1982, it was his sixth album and featured stripped down songs that were made on a four-track recorder.

The movie will be based on the book Deliver Me from Nowhere by Warren Zane.

Springsteen would be 33-years-old in the film and the time period it will focus on. In 2018, Springsteen said in an interview with Esquire â€œWhen I was a child and into my teens, I felt like a very, very, empty vessel.”

“And it wasn’t until I began to fill it up with music that I began to feel my own personal power and my impact on my friends and the small world that I was in,” he added. “I began to get some sense of myself. But it came out of a place of real emptiness. I made music for that kitchen.”

“Go to Nebraska and listen to it,” the Boss added.

Now this movie is in talks at the moment, which means we won’t see it for awhile.

But let’s not pretend for one moment – we are all ready for this movie!
