Roseanne Barr Reveals How God Has Helped Her Through Tough Times In Life – ‘Pray With Me’

The legendary comedian Roseanne Barr, who has long been one of the only openly conservative stars in Hollywood, is opening up this week about how her faith in God has helped her through the difficult times in her life.

Barr’s Relationship With God

While being interviewed on Tucker Carlson’s eponymous podcast, Barr revealed that her relationship with God began when she was a small child growing up in Utah.

“Since I was 3 years old […], I’ve had a conversation going with God,” explained Barr, 71. “I wrote it in my book. You know how little kids have an imaginary friend? Well, mine was God.”

Barr’s conversations with God included asking him why he didn’t do more to help alleviate human suffering on Earth.

“I said, ‘How come you could solve every problem on Earth? All you got to do is just wiggle your little finger and you can stop all these problems. Why can’t you do that? All you have to do is wiggle your finger,'” she recalled. “Because I was suffering.”

And He said to me, ‘Because I don’t have fingers, Roseanne. Oh, but you do!'” she added. “And He said, ‘And you should be very proud of that opposable thumb that I put on that hand of yours because now you can really get busy helping a lot of people and trying to make things right.'”

Barr Maintained Her Relationship With God

Barr continued to have conversations with God throughout her life, and she always felt that he would answer her by guiding her in the right direction.

“He told me all the time, ‘Go over here and do this, and go over there and do that. Just trust me on this,'” she continued. “And I did that my whole life, with the exception of the few marriages that really [expletive] me up. But then I got rid of those guys and continued on the path I was supposed to go on.”

Though Barr has been married and divorced three times, including one marriage to the radically liberal actor Tom Arnold, she doesn’t blame God for these failures, saying “it wasn’t God’s fault.”

Barr believes that God has given her a “unique perspective” on life, and she wants to encourage others to pray.

“I just invite people to pray with me and pray themselves in their own words,” she said. “Not by rote, not by prayers they’ve already heard, but in their own words … because I know we do have the power of spirit together to make this all stop and change it. I know we can do it. I just wish other people would know that, too.”

Barr Credits God With Helping Her Overcome Cancel Culture

This isn’t the first time that Barr has opened up about her faith in God. Last year, Barr told Fox News that God had helped her overcome being cancelled by the mainstream media for posting a tweet about Barack Obama’s former advisor Valerie Jarrett that was deemed to be racist.

The fallout resulted in Barr being fired by ABC, which cancelled her eponymous sitcom “Roseanne” before bringing it back as “The Conners” and killing off her beloved character in the process. This would have broken many people, but Barr leaned on God to get her through, just as she had all her life.

“The greatest thing that I learned is my faith that has always kept me strong… there’s nothing that’s ever gonna shake it. Thank heaven,” she said. “Nothing could take me away from it, as low as it got, as hard as it got and as ugly as it got. Nothing could shake it. That was the greatest of all.”

The left has tried to knock down Barr many times, but she just keeps getting back up. Bless her for continuing to use her platform to spread the word of God!

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
