The Hollywood star Jeremy Renner of Hawkeye fame suffered a severe snowplow accident on New Year’s Day in 2023, when he was trying to prevent his snow-removal tractor from sliding towards his nephew.

The incident left him with more than 30 broken bones and critical injuries. Renner underwent multiple surgeries and spent time in the ICU before beginning a long recovery process.

Despite having saved his life, Renner seems more concerned about his 27-year-old nephew for having to see the gruesome injuries he suffered.

In an interview earlier this year, the Marvel actor explained that healing from the accident became a goal as a means to help his family get through the trauma.

“There was a lot for me to fight for, and recovery was just a one-way road in my mind,” he stated. “My recovery became relief for me, because I knew I could give relief to my family, my daughter, and all those that I really affected.”

Renner Feels Bad For What The Snowplow Accident Did To His Nephew

It says something about a man’s character when he faces his own mortality and ultimately laments what it will do to his loved ones instead.

Renner, known in the movie world as a superhero, took on the role of a real-life superhero, almost getting himself killed by saving his nephew from a sliding 14,330-pound snowplow.

And he’s worried about the nephew’s recovery from the psychological trauma.

“And my poor nephew, who was there with me on that day,” he said in the interview. “I gave him images that he can never unsee. But I know that my healing would be healing for him.”

Apologized To His Mother

Concern for others’ reaction to the snowplow accident appears to be a theme for Jeremy Renner. The man known as Hawkeye/Cliff Barton apologized to his mother over the incident.

That’s right. He apologized for getting run over by a Snowcat.

“I’m sorry for the weight I’ve made you carry, yet so very grateful that you can with grace and strength,” he wrote in a Mother’s Day post last year.

“Thank you, love you, mama … My rock,” he added.

Over the past year, Renner has made remarkable progress in his recovery from the near-fatal snowplow accident. This is a testament to his physical resilience and determination to return to his acting career and personal life.

The latest reports indicate that he has been jogging on an anti-gravity treadmill and has been seen more frequently in public.

Renner also returns to his role as Mike McLusky in the Paramount+ crime drama “Mayor of Kingstown,” with Season 3 set to premiere on June 2, 2024.

In a world where there is so much selfishness in Hollywood, it’s refreshing to see someone as selfish as Renner continue to be a success in the entertainment world. Please say a prayer for him as he continues his recovery!
