Jelly Roll’s Wife Rushes To His Defense After He’s Hit With Brutal Weight-Shaming Comments – ‘It Hurt Him’

The country music star Jelly Roll’s beloved wife Bunnie Xo is speaking out this week to show the world that she has her husband’s back by defending him from negative comments that he’s received about his weight on social media.

Bunnie Xo Defends Jelly Roll

Fox News reported that Jelly Roll, 39, has left social media over the hateful comments that he’s received about his weight less than two weeks after revealing his plans to lose at least 100 pounds. This didn’t sit well with his wife Bunnie Xo, who fired back at her husband’s haters on her podcast “Dumb Blonde.”

“My husband got off the internet because he is so tired of being bullied about his f—ing weight,” she said in a sneak peak of the episode, which is set to drop on Wednesday. “That makes me want to cry because he is the sweetest angel baby.”

“My husband doesn’t show it to you guys, but I’m going to have a very vulnerable moment here,” she continued. “It hurts him.” 

Bunnie Xo Doubles Down

Bunnie Xo, 44, went on to say that just because she and her husband are in the public eye, it does not mean that they should be forced to deal with this kind of hate online.

“The internet can say whatever the f— they want about you,” she stated. “And they say, ‘Well you’re a celebrity, you’re supposed to be able to handle it.’ No the f— we’re not.”

“Don’t bully people because you never know where they are mentally, because there are a lot of people who are not as strong as me, that are on the internet and they don’t deserve to f—ing be bullied,” Bunnie Xo added, suggesting that she’s dealt with her own fair share of online bullying as well.

“I’m sorry, I’m gonna stand up for all the f—ing underdogs,” she concluded. “You’re never going to bully me, you’re never going to lie about me or my family, and I will fight to the end.”

Jelly Roll’s Weight-Loss Efforts

Jelly Roll revealed to People Magazine earlier this month that he has lost about 70 pounds ahead of some 5K races that he plans to run in May.

“I’ve been really kicking a–, man,” he admitted. “I’m doing two to three miles a day, four to six days a week. I’m doing 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna, six minutes in a cold plunge every day. I’m eating healthy right now.”

“I was thinking, I plan on losing another 100, 100-and-something [pounds],” he continued. “If I feel this good down this weight, man, I can only imagine what I’m going to feel like by the time I go on tour.”

Jelly Roll has been open about his struggles with his weight, as he’s admitted that he previously weighed over 500 pounds.

“Weight is normally directly related to mental health, so I’m trying to get that under control and the rest is following that,” he said back in November.

Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo have been married since 2016, and it’s clear that they’re very devoted to each other. While it’s sad that Jelly Roll has been driven off the internet by vile attacks on his weight, it’s nice to see that he has such a loving wife who has his back.
