Singer and television host Kelly Clarkson recently surprised fans by singing a song recently that also showed off the fact that she has lost a significant amount of weight.

50 pounds, no less.

The U.S. Sun reports, “In the post shared by the show’s account, Kelly, 41, gave a powerful rendition of 80s hit Eternal Flame, by The Bangles.”

For the performance, Kelly showed off her weight loss in a full-length black velvet dress, with a cinched waist emphasizing her toned figure.Kelly wore her hair down in blond waves, and gave a glimpse of her cleavage and collar bones with a very plunging neckline. In the comment section of the post, one fan gushed over the strength of Kelly’s voice, writing “Wow way to kick off 2024. The goosebumps.”

“Girl… Couldn’t even hear what you was singing… You look fabulous! Loving that style of dress on you. Beautiful as always,” said another social media follower, along with plenty of heart and fire emojis.

“Nutrition expert Dr. Fred Pescatore recently compared photos from March 2023 of Kelly at the iHeartRadio Music Awards with photos from November 2023 of the star at a SiriusXM event, and concluded that she’s lost around 50 pounds,” the story noted.

Clarkson has said in the past that she joined The Voice a tear after her son was born and that was when she was at her heaviest.

In 2018, Kelly said she changed her diet to organic foods. “It’s when I’m fat that I’m happy,” Clarkson said at the time. “People think, ‘Oh, there’s something wrong with her. She’s putting on weight. I’m like, ‘Oh, no! I’m sorry, but that represents happiness in my emotional world.”

“For me, when I’m skinny is usually when I’m not doing well,” she added.

Well, she’s skinnier now. Let’s hope she’s happy too.
