Roseanne Barr Reveals Very Personal Reason She’s Against Abortion

While being interviewed by Megyn Kelly this week, the comedienne Roseanne Barr revealed the very personal reason that she has for seeing abortion as a “barbarity.”

Barr Discusses Abortion

During an appearance on “The Megyn Kelly Show,” Barr opened up about her decision to give up her daughter for adoption in the 1960s after becoming pregnant at 18.

The 70 year-old former “Roseanne” star explained that she put the baby up for adoption through a Jewish social services organization in Denver, knowing deep down that they would reunite someday. Sure enough, they would go on to reunite when the girl turned 18, and they enjoy a beautiful relationship to this day.

When asked if she ever considered getting an abortion, Barr replied, “That’s not for me. I have five kids. I’m glad I had them all.”

‘It’s Just Barbaric’

Barr went on to say that she can’t believe abortions are still being practiced in this day and age.

“It’s just barbaric that we haven’t come farther than that,” she said. “It really makes me mad that women have the right to choose, and the choice they’re talking about is that — something so barbaric. They choose this barbarity. There’s a lot of reasons why, and they’re all horrible.”

Barr went on to say that abortion should never be “anything that anybody thinks of” since “we have the technology to prevent pregnancies.”

Barr concluded by saying that God has a plan for all of us, even when it comes to unplanned pregnancies.

“In my life, I’ve always trusted God,” she said.

Barr’s Cancel Culture History

Barr has mounted her comeback this year after being cancelled back in 2018 for posting a tweet comparing the former Barack Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett, who is black, to a character from the movie Planet Of The Apes.

Though Barr immediately apologized and said that she didn’t know that Jarrett was black, it was not enough for the liberal world of Hollywood. ABC quickly cancelled her beloved sitcom “Roseanne” before killing off her character and bringing the show back as “The Connors.”

“Any deviation from their fascist boot in your face makes you a racist,” she explained to the then-Fox News host Tucker Carlson back in February.

“The first five people that called me a racist and said, ‘How could you do this?’ you know, they were African-American, and Sara Gilbert [Barr’s costar] is sitting there next to me, and she goes, ‘Don’t answer them. Let it go. Just let it go,'” recalled Barr, 70.

“I’m like, ‘Five in a row? I’m hardly going to let it go,'” she added. “That was always their thing, was just to say, ‘Just ignore them. Let them call you a racist….'”

“Don’t defend yourself?” Carlson asked, with Barr responding by nodding.

“I said, ‘No, I’m not going to do it your way even though you are so proper, and you just love it. I love your proper privilege, but I’m going to step out and be a loudmouthed b–ch and open my mouth. Sorry,'” she explained.

Barr is a truly incredible woman, and there will never be another one like her in Hollywood. God bless her for having the guts to stand by her beliefs publicly, which include being pro-life.

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
