Dolly Parton Reveals Track List For Her First Rock Album – Includes Covers Of Pink, Elton John, And More

The country music legend Dolly Parton has finally released the track list and cover art for her highly anticipated album “Rockstar,” which is set to be her first rock album ever.

Parton Reveals All About Rock Album

Daily Mail reported that Parton, 77, revealed that the album will feature 30 songs that will be made up of nine original tracks from her as well as 21 classic rock covers with collaborators such as Elton John, Sting, Pink and more.

“I’m so excited to finally present my first rock n’ roll album, Rockstar!’ Parton said began in her statement,” Parton said in her statement. “I am very honored and privileged to have worked with some of the greatest iconic singers and musicians of all time, and to be able to sing all the iconic songs throughout the album was a joy beyond measure.”

“I hope everybody enjoys the album as much as I’ve enjoyed putting it together!” she continued.

Parton also announced that her album will be released on November 17, and that it’s currently available for pre-order on her official website. On top of that, she released the first single from the album, which is titled “World Of Fire.”

“This is a song I felt very inspired to write,” she said of the song. “I think it speaks about everything and to everyone this day and time.”

“I hope it is something that will touch you and maybe touch enough people to want to make a change for the better,” she added.

Parton Discusses Album

Last month, Parton revealed to Entertainment Tonight that she decided to make this album partly because of her “rock and roller” husband, Carl Dean, who she’s been married to since 1966.

Parton went on to say that she really enjoyed making this album with many of her friends in the music world.

“I was really pleased. Like everything I do, I ask God to bless it and to guide me in it and to let it be a blessing for everybody that’s involved in it,” she said. “I’ve made some really good friends. It’s just really had a good, positive effect on everybody… It’s gonna get a lot of publicity and everybody wanted to do their best for me. I wanted to do my best for them. So, because of that, we really came up with some great stuff.”

Parton is truly a living legend, and it’s so fun to see her move into the rock genre. We can’t wait to hear the rest of her rock songs when the full album comes out later this year!

James Conrad

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
