So, we conclude the epic weekend with WrestleMania 39 Night Two and our report card. Therefore, let us see if our grades matched what our fans scored.
Heading into the match, there were two questions. Would the match be Brock Lesnar’s final one and could it surpass five minutes?
All signs point to Lesnar staying and no, the match did not last five minutes. Fans had to figure the match would be nothing special.
Omos tossed Lesnar around a few times. Then, Lesnar went to suplex city and hit the F5 to secure the win. Grade: C
I like how WrestleMania’s host, The Miz, is actually wrestling, but not against Shane McMahon. Although, it seems Shane might have been legitimately injured minutes in.
If so, great audible by WWE as the comedic part was worth a few points. Snoop Dogg can make even a 2 minute match fun.
Snoop Dogg has accomplished so much and now he can add WrestleMania winner. Good use of The Miz and Snoop, but bummer for Shane; if the injury is legit. Grade: C+
The men’s version during Night One was spectacular, so the women had their work cut out for them. No, it did duplicate the men’s match.
Still, props to Liv Morgan who shined the best. Also, Raquel Rodriguez looked like a future champion and Natalya always delivers.
Ronda Rousey is clearly still hurt as she only worked the final spot to secure the win. Honestly, fans seem over Rousey and her attitude. Grade: B-
Bianca Belair walks into the contest after being champion for close to a full year. At the same time, Asuka is looking for that WrestleMania moment that has evaded her WWE career.
As expected, Belair relied on her strength, while Asuka used her unique style. As the match continued, the fans seemed to slightly turn on Belair.
The mist did not help Asuka on this occasion and neither did Belair’s hair. I feel Asuka was due for her WrestleMania moment. Grade: A-
Since turning heel, Roman Reigns has been untouchable. On the other side, Cody Rhodes looks to finish the story and capture the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
We knew there would be close falls and unforgettable moments, which were achieved. Both delivered everything they had for an epic WrestleMania main event.
Reigns is still champion and Rhodes did not achieve his dream. What a storyline, what a match and what a disappointing WrestleMania conclusion. Grade: A-
Heading into WrestleMania 39, we all knew this would be the most physical match of the weekend. And, it had a good chance of being match of the night.
Oh man, talk about brutality. All three men are going to have lumps plus black and blue marks all over their bodies.
Sheamus will get his day to capture the Intercontinental Championship, which has somehow evaded his career. GUNTHER’s 290 day reign continues and I hope it continues for at least another 100 days. Grade: A-
For only the second time in WrestleMania history, we have ourselves a Hell in a Cell Match. Super dope entrance by Edge and maybe the best in recent memory.
That match was simply brutal with some unique moments, including Edge buying time as Balor received medical care. So many huge and innovative spots, I cannot pick one as my favorite.
That sadistic match is what Hell in a Cell is all about. If that was Edge’s final WrestleMania, he should be so proud. Grade: A-
