Kid Rock is literally firing back after Bud Light made transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney the latest poster girl for the brand.

Bud Light Teams Up With Transgender Influencer

Mulvaney, 26, announced her partnership with Bud Light in a video posted to social media on Sunday.

“This month I celebrated my 365 days of womanhood and Bud Light sent me possibly the best gift ever — a can with my face on it,” she said in the video.

Kid Rock Fires Back

Daily Mail reported that Kid Rock, 52, took to social media to post a video of himself shooting up cases of Bud Light with an automatic gun. The singer said that he wanted to send a “clear and concise” message to Bud Light after the company teamed up with Mulvaney, even giving her a beer can with her face printed on it in celebration of her 365 days of being a woman.

“Grandpa is feeling a little frisky today. Let me tell you as clear and concise as possible,” Kid Rock said before shooting at cases of Bud Light that had been stacked on a table next to a river.

“F*** Bud Light, and f*** Anheuser-Busch. Have a terrific day,” Kid Rock concluded.

Backlash Against Kid Rock

The backlash against Kid Rock over the video was swift.

“It felt violent and threatening, and made my fear for the people I love who are trans come to the fore yet again as hate is celebrated. What are we becoming as human beings that this kind of behavior is tolerated?” Susie Green, community director of GenderGP, a transgender health provider, told Newsweek. “Cheered on even. It’s sickening and shameful.”

Gemma Stone, the co-founder of news site Trans Writes, said that Kid Rock’s video was the perfect “example of fragile masculinity” and that the singer “managed to come across as even less masculine than the incredibly feminine Dylan Mulvaney, whom his impotent protest is about. Bravo Kiddo.”

“I hope Kid Rock has a very fun time buying things he doesn’t like politically and then shooting them in his garden,” she continued. “But it would probably be better if he transitioned to Adult Rock by growing the f*** up.”

Stone went on to imply that Bud Light needs to do more to help transgender people, indicating that she’s not satisfied with the gesture that the company made to Mulvaney.

“What I want to know is what are they doing to support their transgender staff and staff with transgender family amidst this moral panic?” she questioned. “How are they working to oppose the over 300 anti-trans bills in the U.S. currently? What are their policies in regards to trans healthcare? Pronouns on a can is a gesture but its an empty one if they aren’t putting in the work.”

Others, however, agreed with Kid Rock.

“The good news is that Bud Light tastes like rain water that someone siphoned out of a tin bucket so it should be very easy to boycott,” said conservative commentator Matt Walsh.

“Boycott Bud Light and NEVER DRINK IT AGAIN EVER,” added Mike Crispi, a podcast host and former Republican New Jersey primary candidate for Congress.

Bud Light Stands By Mulvaney

Despite this, Bud Light has stood by Mulvaney, saying that the beer can that has her face displayed on it was a personal “gift to celebrate a personal milestone and is not for sale to the general public.”

A company spokesperson added that Bud Light “works with hundreds of influencers across our brands as one of many ways to authentically connect with audiences across various demographics. From time to time we produce unique commemorative cans for fans and for brand influencers, like Dylan Mulvaney.”

Mulvaney rose to fame documenting her gender transition on TikTok, where she has over 10 million followers. Bud Light can pat themselves on the back for going woke by featuring her all that they want to, but in the end, they should not be surprised if this move ultimately backfires on them.
