Yesterday, we reported that the ex-girlfriend of Tiger Woods was suing him to try to get out of the NDA that she claimed that he made her sign. Now, new information has come out about this lawsuit, as it’s been revealed that she’s suing him for $30 million after accusing him of sexual abuse.
Daily Mail reported that 39 year-old Erica Herman, who dated Woods, 47, for six years, ticked the “yes” box in court papers under the question, “Does this case involve allegations of sexual abuse?” She went into no further detail about the alleged sexual abuse.
Other court papers show that Herman is suing Woods for “severe” emotional damage and is accusing him of tricking her into leaving the mansion in Hobe Sound, Florida that they had lived in together for years. She claims that the legendary golfer persuaded her to go on a short vacation, but when she got to the airport, she was told by his representatives that she had been locked out of the home.
Herman is alleging that Woods’ representatives removed $40,000 of her money and made “scurrilous and defamatory allegations” about how she got this money. She now wants $30 million for what she claims were “breaches of duty” that left her with “severe” emotional damage.

Herman is suing the Jupiter Island Irrevocable Homestead Trust, which is Woods’ trust that owns the home in Hobe Sound. She claims that she provided “valuable services” at Woods’s requests as part of an “oral tenancy agreement” that gave her the right to live in the mansion for a “certain duration of time.”
“All expenses that related to (Herman’s) residency were fully paid by the defendant or its privies,” she claimed in the lawsuit. “This agreement was fully performed for the six-year period prior to the events giving rise to this lawsuit.”
“The duties that were performed by the plaintiff were extensive and of an extraordinary nature in light of the overall circumstances and environment in which she lived,” the lawsuit added.
Herman alleges that this oral agreement stipulated that she could live on the property for five more years while Woods engaged in “prohibited practices” that she claims led to “severe actual, consequential and severe emotional damages” to herself, and that they were done “intentionally, with premeditation and with malice aforethought.”
“Specifically, by trickery, agents of the defendant convinced plaintiff to pack a suitcase for a short vacation and, when she arrived at the airport, they told her she had been locked out of the residence,” the court documents state. “They then informed her she was not allowed to return and, without legal counsel to aid her in this emotional moment, utilized a lawyer to confront her with proposals to resolve the wrongdoing they were in the midst of committing.”
“Defendant’s agents attempted to justify their illegal conduct by paying for a hotel room and certain expenses for a short period of time, having successfully locked (Herman) out of her home and frightened her away from returning,” they continued. “Since then plaintiff has continually demanded to be allowed back into her home but defendant’s agents have refused.”
“Even worse, defendant’s agents removed plaintiff’s personal belongings from her residence and misappropriated in excess of $40,000 in cash that belonged to her, making scurrilous and defamatory allegations about how she obtained the money,” the documents added.
Herman reportedly feels entitled to $30 million because of the “substantial monthly rental value” of the home.
Herman was working as a general manager at the Presidents Cup, a pop-up restaurant at the Genesis Open at The Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles, California, which was owned by her then-boyfriend when she met Woods back in 2017.
She and Woods became inseparable immediately, and she was often spotted at his golf tournaments cheering him on in the subsequent years.
At the time of this writing, Woods has yet to respond to Herman’s lawsuit. It remains to be seen how this will all play out for him.
