The supermodel Gisele Bündchen has finally broken her silence about her divorce from the former NFL star Tom Brady, which was finalized in October of last year. She went so far as to describe the divorce as “the death of my dream.”

Gisele Speaks Out On Divorce

Gisele, 42, told Vanity Fair that the speculation surrounding her divorce from Tom, 45, was “very hurtful,” adding that she has only ever “wanted all his dreams to come true.”

“Listen, I have always cheered for him, and I would continue forever,” she said. “If there’s one person I want to be the happiest in the world, it’s him, believe me. I want him to achieve and to conquer. I want all his dreams to come true. That’s what I want, really, from the bottom of my heart.”

Gisele went on to deny rumors that her divorce stemmed from Tom’s decision to un-retire and play another season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last year. Instead, she claimed that the reason behind the split was more innocent, alleging that she and Tom simply “grew apart” and realized that they wanted “different things” in life.

“Sometimes you grow together; sometimes you grow apart,” Gisele explained. “When I was 26 years old and he was 29 years old, we met, we wanted a family, we wanted things together.”

“As time goes by, we realize that we just wanted different things, and now we have a choice to make,” she added. “That doesn’t mean you don’t love the person. It just means that in order for you to be authentic and truly live the life that you want to live, you have to have somebody who can meet you in the middle, right? It’s a dance. It’s a balance.”

Gisele Claims She’s Not Dating Anyone

Gisele also described her divorce as being “like a death and a rebirth.” While she has been linked to jiujitsu instructor Joaquim Valente and then Elle Macpherson’s billionaire ex-husband Jeffrey Soffer, Gisele claims that she is not dating anyone these days.

“I think, at this point, unfortunately, because I’m divorced, I’m sure that they’re going to try to attach me to anything,” she lamented.

Instead of looking for romance, Gisele is focused on being a mother to the two children she shares with Tom: Benjamin, 13, and Vivian, 10. However, she also insists that she has “her own dreams,” and that she wants to show her children that it’s important to “find real fulfillment” in life.

Tom And Gisele’s Divorce

Daily Mail reported that Tom and Gisele finalized their divorce on October 28, 2022.

“In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage,” Tom said at the time. “We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together.”

“We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way,” he continued, according to CBS Sports. “We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve.”

“We arrived at this decision to end our marriage after much consideration,” Tom concluded. “Doing so is, of course, painful and difficult, like it is for many people who go through the same thing every day around the world. However we wish only the best for each other as we pursue whatever new chapters in our lives that are yet to be written.”

Divorce is never an easy thing, particularly when there are children involved. We can only pray that in the months and years to come, both Gisele and Tom are able to find happiness.
