Yesterday, we reported that the CNN host Don Lemon had said that the 51 year-old Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley was past her “prime” because “a woman is considered to be in their prime in 20s and 30s and maybe 40s.”
On Monday morning, Whoopi Goldberg echoed Lemon in attacking Haley’s age during her ABC talk show “The View.”
Goldberg fired back at Haley for calling for a new generation of Washington leadership by saying, “You’re not a new generation, you’re 51!”
“What are you talking about?” Goldberg added.
When co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin pointed out that Haley actually is part of a new generation when looking at the ages of most of the politicians in Washington D.C., Goldberg still pushed back.
“It’s not a new generation,” Goldberg declared. “She may be younger than most of those people, but her rhetoric is the same. She’s saying the same BS.”
Not stopping there, Goldberg brought up Democratic Florida Rep. Maxwell Frost, who is the first Gen-Z member of Congress.
“I love the young kid, but the only way you get younger people to run, dude, is if you’re out there talking to people saying run,” she said. “Don’t say we need it to look like us. We know that. We know that. We’re not going to vote for people who don’t have our best interests at heart.”

Haley fired back at Goldberg hours later by saying that while she was expecting to be attacked by the media when she announced she’s running for president, she was not expecting her age to be the main target.
“If my age is all they have, it means we’re winning,” she told Fox News. “I’m okay with that.”
Haley also said that she’s become used to racist and sexist attacks from the left over the years.
“It’s not new,” Haley said. “This happened when I ran for governor. I’ve had this all my life. When I was first elected governor, there were some minority Democrats that said ‘she’s not a minority, she’s just a conservative with a tan.’ They will come at me with everything. But none of that fazes me.”

Lemon, 56, started all of this last Thursday, when he said that Haley, 51, is not in her “prime” and declared that women are in their prime in their 20s, 30s and “maybe 40s.”
Though he apologized hours later, he made no mention of Haley by name.
“The reference I made to a woman’s ‘prime’ this morning was inartful and irrelevant, as colleagues and loved ones have pointed out, and I regret it,” he tweeted. “A woman’s age doesn’t define her either personally or professionally. I have countless women in my life who prove that every day.”
The next day, Lemon apologized once again in a CNN editorial call. Though he mentioned Haley this time, it didn’t appear like he was apologizing to her.
“When I make a mistake. I own it and I own this one as well. I understand why you are upset and disappointed,” Lemon said, according to Yahoo News. “I was trying to make the point that no one’s age should define their ambition or potential for success, and I was saying those comments to Nikki Haley.”
This entire situation shows just how hypocritical the left really is. They claim to be all about supporting women, but all of that goes out the window when it comes to a conservative woman. We applaud Haley for continuing to rise above these despicable attacks from the likes of Goldberg and Lemon.
