The Octagon heads over to Australia for UFC 284 this Saturday with a champion vs. champion match.
Islam Makhachev defends his lightweight title against featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski. Also, an interim featherweight champion will be crowned when Yair Rodriguez battles Josh Emmett.
This will be the 16th trip for the UFC to Australia and the first since UFC 243 in 2019. It will also mark the eighth time that a champion has faced off with another champion.
Volkanovski is looking to become the fourth man to be a champion in two divisions at the same time and the fifth overall. With a win, he would also be the eighth fighter to win a title in different divisions.
